Hotel was good very outdated. Nice staff room. I had a single room was quite small was great for a two day visit. I wouldn’t recommend for a week. As room was small very close to town and beach
This hotel is a gem. Although the building is older, the room was spotless, updated, and everything was in perfect working order.
The restaurant cooked an excellent breakfast to order and the Italian dinners were authentic and delicious. To top it off, the hospitality was warm and welcoming, it was a 5 minute walk to both the downtown and the beach.
Loved this place and would return in a heartbeat.
We enjoyed a wonderful two-night stay at the Aurora Hotel & Italian Restaurant in Nairn. The location was excellent, with an easy walk to the beach and waterfront, making it a great base for exploring the area.
We stayed in a Family Room with one double bed and two single beds. Traveling as a family of four, we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious the room was. There was plenty of room to move around, unpack, and get ready without feeling cramped. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Everyone we encountered was helpful and made us feel right at home.
The only minor hiccup was the small hotel car park, which filled up quickly. Fortunately, there was plenty of street parking nearby, so it never became a real issue.
Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend the Aurora Hotel to anyone visiting Nairn.
My single room on second floor was clean, comfortable and quiet....perfect for a good night's sleep. Hotel is well situated, just a 10 minute walk to the train station or a nip around the corner to the Nairn Museum.
Breakfast was sufficient...partly self serve, partly hot; but staff was a little scarce so no second cup of coffee was to be found. No gluten free bread, but several GF cereals and plenty of other choices.
If I am back that way again, I would rebook but stay for longer.
Hotel was very clean, I was in a single room so was fairly small, but adequate and very clean, bed was very comfortable.
All staff very friendly, great service and great breakfast. My second stay here and would definitely return.
The room was acceptable, the restaurant was fine, and most of the staff were pleasant (including the owner). The problem came when I asked for change for a 20 pound English note so I could leave a tip after I paid for dinner. The change I was given was Scottish currency. I was told that English currency was not available. And while it may have the same value as English currency, it is not readily accepted in other parts of the UK or in overseas territories. I had a bit of a disagreement over this and asked for my 20 pound note back. I was given a 10, a 5, and five one pound coins. All in English currency. Funny that minutes earlier, I was told they had none! So I question the honesty of this one woman. It would have been so much easier to give me the English currency straight away and keep a customer happy and avoid a scene. Shame on her.
The English Breakfast served daily during my three day stay was prepared perfectly. The room was clean and quiet for sleeping after a long flight. The staff was super friendly upon arrival and check-in was seamless. I would recommend others to stay at this hidden gem in Nairn.
One could not ask for better hosts, and the food was excellent.

We had a lovely stay at Aurora, check in was seem less, the lady that greeted us is the owner along with her husband, very nice, hardworking couple. The building is a bit older, parking in the lot is tricky but on the street no problem. The food at the restaurant was excellent.
Friendly staff, good food, clean room. Sensible prices

Very friendly staff, great service in restaurant and great food. Hotel and room were clean and well appointed. The hotel is nice, but decor is lived in and slightly overdue a refresh, though by no means scruffy.
The proprietors were very lovely and helped us navigate around Nairn since we were only in town for one night. Dinner at the restaurant was also very good!
