Very clean hallways, rooms, and general sitting areas. The breakfast was organized and had a variety of items, with a changing menu. The server was always friendly. Can't beat the location to the beach!

The staff were so hospitable and the breakfast was amazing! Our shower nozzle was a little messed up and the doors seemed to have needed some maintenance but it wasn’t too bad. We enjoyed our stay greatly and would come back again!

Great location right on the water front, breakfast is ok and certainly more convenient than going elsewhere. We did enjoy the complimentary wine and cheese in the afternoon. Balcony is large enough to be useful and chairs are very comfy.

The breakfast menu was fresh. The balcony was nice and had an ocean view, but I couldn't see the sunrise from it. Last year we had a room over the pool. I was able to enjoy the sunrise from my balcony daily. Our room was clean and the staff was pleasant. We have been coming for four years now. We will be returning next year.

This was our first time in Nags Head! Surf Side hotel did not disappoint. From the moment we checked in we had a great experience. We were celebrating my mom's 70th birthday and her small welcome gift in the room was such a beautiful surprise!! The hotel was very clean and all the staff were very helpful and accommodating to our needs!! The elevator is slow and breakfast is okay but those were the only 2 things that could be improved in our eyes! Thanks for giving us a great stay. We look forward to coming back and visiting again!! Surf Side will definitely be our hotel!!

Wonderful beach hotel. Super clean and well-maintained. Furniture in the room felt brand new (including a pull-out sofa that I don’t think had ever been used before). Great beach access and nice pool area. Our family including 3 very active little boys had a blast. Breakfast and happy hour were very nice and thoughtful touches for the guests. Feels like a boutique hotel but with resort quality features. 10/10 would recommend!

Friendly staff willing to go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Shout out to Ingrid for taking care of our room during our stay. Great breakfast! Love the 8pm cookies yum!! Con’s: Time to upgrade mattress in their rooms. Ours was horrible!! Pits in it, squeaks every time you roll over. Bathroom shower needs a makeover. Tub faucet had a constant drip.
