The room was extremely clean and quiet, comfortable to get a good night's sleep in. The front desk staff were of course friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel also provides nice amenities, including pastries and coffee, and even a free nihonshu ("sake") tasting.

The hotel was within walking distance from Nagano Station and had many food options nearby. The hotel and neighbourhood was quiet and we had a nice view of the mountains. Our room had the massage chair which was really great to use after a long day of walking and exploring. The room was big compared to rooms in Tokyo which was a pleasant surprise and we had a great stay.

The hotel was pretty good, but not the best I've stayed at in Japan. The breakfast was pretty good, but not as amazing as everyone made it sound in the reviews. There was free sake tasting everyday at 5pm. It was 10 minute walk from the train station (not as close as Expedia made it sound, but not a bad walk either). I would stay here again, but just will go in with different expectations than what I had based on the reviews. Overall the staff was very nice and accommodating.
