The hotel looks amazing, the staff is always really nice and nothing of my needs was any trouble for them. Breakfast really lovely with amazing views 😍 Pool really posh with very nice music. I really recommend to anybody how wanted a good nice hotel.

Very fancy and good food

Very good hotel, rooms are a little bit small but it was nice to have sea view when I had booked garden view. Also the private beach is not something you will enjoy but at 5 minutes you can have the sandy option (at 15 € per seat).

The attention to detail in room, artwork and landscaping is very impressive. The staff was very helpful and attentive to all requests. The front desk service provides a welcoming meeting which provides helpful information on all amenities provided by hotel. The initial impression is of a quality, top level hotel and this theme plays out throughout the whole visit. Would recommend highly to travelers that want more than the standard expeirence.

Very beautiful hotel, but... The last good review was left in 2019. I assume it changed hands then. Now this is a review of this hotel under new management. 1. Extremely slow service. Waited for breakfast for 50 mins! No one seemed to care. Same goes when you come to the bar. Waiting is over 30 mins just for someone to notice you! 2. Poor room service. They had just one lady to clean the entire hotel and my room was cleaned only at 8 PM! 3. Incompetent and careless front desk customer service. I requested taxi a day before my departure. I emphasized several times when taxi should arrive. Next morning - no taxi. Front desk lady was talking to a new guest. She called the taxi that arrived late and I missed my ferry. Unacceptable! Otherwise perfect vacation was ruined by absolutely careless stuff. This is the worst experience in Greece in 2-week time that I traveled.

Upstages all other 5-star boutique Mykonian hotels

4th year in Kivotos, ruined me for life, cannot stay anywhere else in Mykonos anymore. I bother w/ reviews only when irked or so blown away that it’s worth my time to do so. Kivotos just has it all: amenities, service, food/drinks—all in the most jaw-dropping spot in all of Mýkonos; I know them all. I also care about what I get for what I pay for: have stayed in different suites AND the dreamy über-lux villa on Kivotos’ private seafront: they all beat the island’s other 5-star options, including even private stay villas (been there, done that: nice, but not as nice as Kivotos.) If you didn’t know & booked somewhere else, come to Kivotos for the day, hang at the pool or private beach for your most-liked Insta selfies evaaaa (even if 54 years old.) I bet anyone who tours Kivotos & is staying in other so-called 5-star boutique hotels in Mykonos that you’ll want to change your reservation to stay here instead... ha, ha! Happened to every friend of mine that didn’t listen & booked at places that have been (SIGH) photoshopped. Whereas Kivotos is #NoFilter needed, ya’ll. Get a massage seaside fr/ Joy (όνομα και πράγμα, for the Greeks amongst us). I’m Greek-American & I treat my word as gold. I own 2 companies & don’t write bogus reviews—no time to snow people I don’t know. My stays in Kivotos are simply always 24-karats gold & the world should know. Medicine for the soul, is Kivotos. Bon voyage to one & all.

I will never stay there again.

I came to stay at the Kivotos for a short 3-day holiday with my husband. The staff attitude was excellent - it is obvious that they are trying to excel. However, we were given a room where the only daylight source was coming from a transparent glass door in a glass wall, thus, our entire room was exposed to the public area. The only curtains were heavy, so if we didn't want people to stare at us, we could pull the curtains and turn on electrical light. The furniture and bathroom were visibly worn with the bathtub leaking water onto the floor. The worst, however, was the beach: difficult access for swimming because of the rocks and sharp, small stones, the immediate area is well-populated by sea urchins, forcing the intrepid swimmer to take their own chances. The most outrageous thing was not even the quality of the beach, but as we settled on the hotel-owned deck chairs on this beach someone in a neighboring building (not part of the hotel) somewhere above us discharges some waste water which ran down the rocks and terraces, forming a foul and malodorous stream right underneath our deck chairs, pouring over my belongings and shoes. This discharge ran for about a minute then stopped. On complaining to the hotel staff they responded that they have no control over their neighbor's actions and can not help this. They also said that this is the first time anything like this happened. However, in the succeeding days, I could see fresh traces of new discharges at that same location.

KIVOTOS Mykonos, Seaside Serenity

On a recent visit to Mykonos, I returned once again to Kivotos Mykonos, beautifully set on the bay of Ornos. This place has become something of a tradition for me—not just for its prime location right by the water, but for the comforting sense of luxury it always brings. The setting couldn’t be better. The hotel opens right onto the sea, with the crystal-clear waters of Ornos beach just steps away. When I travel to the islands, that direct connection to the sea matters—and Kivotos gets it just right. This was actually my fourth time staying here, and every visit reminds me why boutique hotels resonate so deeply with me. Kivotos was one of Greece’s first boutique hotels, and it still shines with style, personality, and charm. Over the years, it’s welcomed its fair share of celebrities and continues to attract those who appreciate authenticity and elegance. The service was spot-on, the team genuinely warm, and the food delicious—thoughtfully prepared and satisfying in the best way. From start to finish, everything ran effortlessly, and once again, it surpassed what I had hoped for. Kivotos remains one of my favorite spots in Mykonos—and it’s easy to see why.

The property is a bit dated and the layout is peculiar, the decor is a bit odd and random (think tortoise statues, banksy art and then classic Greek tones). Our room, a suite, was okay but dated as well. The wind was intense overnight, which is fine, but the shutter wasn't tightly closing, so it made for a noisy night. We were a big group of 12 people,and there were only a handful of other guests but we had to follow up on requests, run up and down the stairs at the pool to get a menu and service. The music at the pool was way too loud and intense (high-energy club music) for the middle of the day, seeming an odd choice. They don't have a transfer option - this costs an additional EUR60 for up to 4 people, which seems excessive as a lot of the other hotels on the island provide this as a courtesy. Overall with the fees charged in mid-June, I think it is very overpriced for what is delivered.

The property is absolutely beautiful and felt like we stayed in an oasis! It is so romantic and definitely worth the stay. It is walking distance to Ornos beach. You take the stairs and go directly to the town instead of walking on the busy roads. I need to point out the breakfast which was absolutely delicious and what I looked forward to every morning. Make sure to order the orange juice, so GOOD. Only issue is going to Mykonos town, it’s expensive to take a taxi (35-55 Euros) but that is the price all over the island. Consider taking the bus from Ornos or renting an ATV!

This was our first time to Mykonos. The property at Kivotos is stunning. Having our own private beach was beyond exciting because all of the beaches charge $40.00 to have a chair and umbrella. The staff was so gracious and kind and bent over backwards to make our stay perfect. Also having a bidet in our room was wonderful as we quickly learned you don’t put toilet paper in the toilets in Greece. I will forever be a fan and recommend Kivotos to anyone wanting a luxury stay in Mykonos!!! Special thanks to Fatoula and Gregory for making our stay so special.

I was really disappointed with this hotel. It is supposed to be one of the best hotels in the area. The internet was really bad in our room. Also bad communication with staff. Breakfast is served at 8am. If you had to leave early on a trip there were no other options for breakfast. We asked for an iron. They would take the iron back. it was a nightmare to request 1 iron. I can't believe a hotel of this magnitude would not have multiple irons for the guest.

This property is absolutely as stunning in real-life as the pictures online, which is always my biggest concern when booking accommodations anywhere. From the moment we arrived, we were helped with our bags and pampered. The pool area is impeccably beautiful and cleaned every single day by hand and with the little underwater machine in the AM. The bedroom was very, very clean and well air-conditioned. They even had fresh flowers in our room which was a lovely touch. The hotel transport was seamless, and our driver was very helpful with our luggage and kind. The breakfast is so, so good, and the view from the breakfast spot is just breathtaking in the mornings. This spot also has its own private beach with daybeds, and it was absolutely lovely having that nice touch. It's not sandy, so don't expect that. But it's quiet and removed from all the hustle and bustle of the main, crowded beaches. An absolutely phenomenal stay!!

Pessimo banheiro

Ficamos na suite dupla 215, porem o banheiro é pessimo. Apos tomar banho todo banheiro fica inundado e nao drena. O vaso sanitário, fica junto do chuveiro, e apos tomar banho fica todo alagado e impossível de usar. É necessário chamar arrumadeira para secar, e isso é pessimo. Apos banho noturno, Ficamos por 3 noites com banheiro alagado.
