Vacations Close To Muskoka Boat and Heritage Centre

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The Scotsman Hotel in Niagara-on-the-Lake while attending the Shaw Festival and exploring the local wineries. What truly made our experience special was the exceptional staff: warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making us feel welcome. From helping us secure dinner reservations to the wonderful breakfast service, we felt incredibly well cared for throughout our stay. The location is ideal, just a five-minute walk from the charming restaurants, shops, and theatres of Niagara-on-the-Lake. We especially loved the beautiful courtyard and multiple lounging spaces, which provided the perfect place to unwind between shows and to enjoy a little romantic stargazing in the evening. Our room was beautifully decorated, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, I slept like a baby! Overall, The Scotsman strikes a wonderful balance of opulence, exceptional hospitality, and privacy. It feels sophisticated without being pretentious, and intimate without sacrificing proximity to all the excitement. We would highly recommend The Scotsman to anyone looking for a relaxing, romantic, and sophisticated getaway in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

The hotel was very nice, clean, and in a great location. The staff is not there 24hrs but worked out a seamless check in that allowed us to check in after hours, as we were coming from eight hours away. I really liked the text message system they had that eliminated needless trips to the front desk or calling on the phone. I REALLY liked that the room had several items for sale in the unit. I absolutely enjoyed to local beers that were stocked in the fridge. There was also wine, water, and snacks for sale. This location was perfect for Niagara-on-The-Lake: only about seven miles away and there was a bike path we rode all the way to the town and Fort George. They had a shed that we were able to store our bikes in, which gave us some piece of mind, even though the neighborhood was very nice. After we checked out and headed to Niagara-on-The-Lake on our bikes, they allowed us to leave our vehicle in their lot until we returned and moved on to our next stop. Great rates compared to others directly in the town and I'd return. Strongly recommend.

The breakfast in bed was wonderful. A nice amount of food and serve very promptly. The spa was nice. we did not eat in the restaurant.

Lovely home with great breakfasts and nice room! Located on a quiet street yet close enough to shopping, restaurants and vineyards. We enjoyed our morning chats with Anne and Alan. Will definitely recommend Dicksons Family Suite B&B to family & friends.
