This hotel is undergoing a major renovation, construction stuff all over. The pool and hot tub were closed, as was the breakfast room, so it was not as expedia advertised. The price was less than other facilities, should have been the tip off that something was amiss.

The staff at the hotel were polite and generally helpful, but unfortunately, the room left a lot to be desired. While it had supposedly been recently renovated, the quality of the work was disappointing. Painters tape was still stuck to the walls, the finishes were rushed and sloppy, and the bathroom appeared untouched and in need of a deep clean. On a more positive note, the bed was clearly new and very comfortable, which offered at least some relief during the stay. Overall, not quite the standard I expected.

WORST HOTEL STAY IVE EVER HAD. Hotel is operating while being under construction, did not mention this during check in. No pool, hot tub, coffee maker, breakfast, iron, ironing board, shampoo- conditioner. For the first 24hours they did not even have hot water! I asked for a refund and was denied.

This is the second Wyndham property that we have stayed at. The pictures online but wonderful, but this hotel is not even ready for someone to be staying in it. The hallways look like they're filled with trash, but it's mostly ripped up carpet and the rehab process that is very started. The smell in the hallway also is terrible.

The power went out the first day we were there and was out for 2.5 days so not only was there no air conditioning (around 95 degrees in the room and zero air flow because you cant open windows) but most importantly, no hot water. Meaning we could not wash our hands which is a health code violation and could not take showers. Then when the power finally came back on, the fire alarms tripped in the middle of the night at 2a because of the power outage. Insane ear piercing sounds made our adrenaline spike and we couldnt fall back asleep. We paid for the hotel because we are working in the area and out of the 4 nights we were there, we only got one good night of sleep. Was incredibly inconvenient considering we were working 10 hour days every day we were there. We were not given any discount, apology or anything for the inconvenience. Just a simple "sorry, thats not our fault" Maybe pay for a geneator considering youre right on lake michigan, it only makes sense. Does this happen often during winter too? Id avoid this place at all costs. The least they couldve done is give us a discount.

I booked online , 2 rooms for 4 nights. We had bugs in the first room. The front desk was amazing and gave us a new room. It was better we still had the bugs but we flushed what we say down the toilet. The front desk staff made us not want to keave because of how amazing he was towards us. We enjoyed our stay.

Clarion at Muskegon is in critical condition and requires total remodeling. Check in process was ok and done properly. Entry door and hallway on the way to the room is disgusting . Mold around jacuzzi bathtub is unacceptable. Multiple pictures taken for required evidence as needed.

The staff was veey helpful, and kind even to those who didn't have a reservation an just needed a second to charge their phone. Some rooms are being refinished and are VERY nice, the AC/Heating units work GREAT unlike most other cheap hotels. We stayed at the Travelodge across the street for 2 days, and in 2 minutes of being at the Clarion could tell that i made the right decision.
