This is a really neat vintage motel. They've done a great job of updating the rooms to a modern decor. The room was ridiculously clean. The beds were comfortable. It's an easy walk into town for dinner or to take a stroll or for a Pictured Rocks boat tour. If you're looking for an old school *park in front of the door* motel that's updated and really clean, this is the place for you! The staff is very friendly and very communicative as well. We had a lovely stay.

The room was very small and the air conditioner was loud but it did work well. The problem was either you left it off for quiet, or turned it on to cool off the hot room but the loudness would keep you awake at night.The room and clean and the bed was comfortable. The motel is walking distance to stores and restaurants. A short drive to Pictured Rocks. This is a decent place for those on a tight budget.

Awesome place to stay. Room and bathroom were both very spacious, comfortable and clean. Scotty’s is in a great location and the digital check in was so convenient! The owners were very responsive and helpful. I highly recommend Scotty’s and will definitely stay here again if in the area!

It was a decent property, and while it's old, the management has maintained it nicely. It is quite close to all the main attractions of the city, which is quite a positive for the same. Moreover, they have a sauna as well for the guests.

The owners were delightful and friendly and the quant Motel charming, they have really put a lot of effort into restoring this gem. The shower head and water pressure were wonderful the beds comfy and the check in process flawless. The location is great. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and very close to the kayaking tours. Only complaint is that the coffee not ready till a bit after 7, so if your an early bird like me, you need to go get some (there is Folgers’ brew sachets in the rooms), and lack of fan in bathroom. Otherwise we loved it!!!

What a great little hidden gem! This charming mom-and-pop motel has been beautifully refurbished while keeping its retro character and vintage charm. The room was spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully updated with all the modern conveniences, without losing the nostalgic feel. The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It’s clear they take pride in their property and genuinely care about their guests’ experience. Loved the virtual check in process. If you’re looking for something unique, affordable, and full of personality in the Munising area this is the perfect place. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it

Perfect little spot for exploring Pictured Rocks! We stayed here while visiting Pictured Rocks, Miners Castle, and Lake Superior, and it was exactly what we needed for a night on the road. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice shower/bathroom, mini fridge, and some sort of hot-water thingy that I never quite figured out . Check-in was super easy. I was able to check in right from my phone, and they sent us a numerical code to get into the room, so there was no hassle with keys or waiting around. They also have a community fire pit, which would be such a nice place to relax after a day of exploring. And they're dog-friendly, which was one of the reasons we chose this place! We ended up leaving our dog at home this trip, but I love having that option for future adventures. The staff was friendly, everything was clean, and the whole experience was easy and convenient. If you're looking for a simple, comfortable place to spend the night while exploring the Upper Peninsula and Lake Superior, this is a great choice. We'd definitely stay here again!

Absolutely incredible motel and staff. Management/owners are incredibly welcoming and helpful whatever needed. If I ever need a motel in this area I will be at Scotty’s. The room was incredibly beautifully clean very comfortable and very welcoming. I would rather stay at a small mom and pop Motel like this any day than these great big chain hotels. Thank you to the crew and the staff and the owners. We loved your place and we will tell everybody about it. It’s a 10 star writing in my book. Thank you very much

What a fun little gem! We needed a pet friendly place for a weekend and Scotty's was perfect!! The owners were fantastic and super easy to work with! Being "off season" it was very quiet and peaceful! Bed was super comfy and the room was neatly organized and very clean. Definitly will recommend to friends and hopefully will be back to stay again! Cheers!!

It’s in perfect location. Quiet setting. All is in walking distance to marina, food market and restaurants. It’s clean with all necessities such as air conditioning, refrigerator etc. there’s even coffee, ice on site and sauna rooms too!
