Great spacious rooms

I loved the room, it was modern and spacious. Nice big shower. The neighborhood is lovely and very quiet, however it’s a bit of a walk to get to the closest subway station. Overall had a great stay, the only (minor) thing is cleaning service never emptied our trash can nor gave us new coffee in the room. Other than that, great experience!

The hotel was nice, but not conveniently located, it was a 15 minute walk to the nearest subway station. As an American, none of the staff spoke much English. Or could help us with any type of directions or amenities in English? The rooms were clean, but there was no air condition. We were on vacation, we were very excited to be in Germany and did not need to be catered to But some of the amenities were limited, such as only German channels on television, At breakfast, all of the food labeled in German. At the hotel, such as the fitness center. Was only labeled in German. When I asked the staff for more bacon, she did not understand what I was saying, even though she was putting the food out and we were standing right next to the empty bacon container, and we did not feel safe if there was some type of emergency due to the lack of communication in our own language.

Business hotel

This is a sister hotel to the Ibis next door, except this has "suite" rooms. Here, "suite" simply means there's enough room for a desk and a bathroom with a bath. The installations are very tired, despite its being fairly new. For example, the lamps look battered, the blinds were replaced but the old ones never fully removed, the shower was leaky, and the sink drained very slowly. The pictures show a screen that can divide the room. This was missing in my room for no apparent reason. Some surfaces were really dusty, like the light fittings, bedstead. Breakfast was OK but nothing special. I *may* have also been bitten by bedbugs here. I can't prove this was from this hotel.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Petty thieves who coerced us into paying for an extra night because we requested a room with a functioning toilet/bathroom. Toilet in my initial room didn’t work, but hotel maintenance was gone for the day so I requested a new room with a functioning toilet and was told I could occupy the first room until the toilet was fixed. I didn't move into the new room because it was not clear which room we would stay in once the toilet issue was resolved. My other two guests arrived and unpacked in the new room. Went out for the night and got back to the hotel late – the other two guests went to the new room where their stuff was and went to bed, and I went to the initial room where my stuff was and went to bed there. I was woken up by the front desk calling me and requesting that I move my stuff into the other room, which I did. On the last morning, a manager demanded that I pay for BOTH of the rooms. What?! I was expecting them to offer a discount because of the hassle of dealing with a room with a broken toilet, let alone ask us to pay extra! I said no and explained that they told us we could occupy both rooms and they would not have been able to rent out a room with a broken toilet, anyway. I left the hotel but when the other two guests tried leaving the hotel, they were confronted by the front desk staff who did not let them leave until they paid this extra charge. Completely disgusted with the lack of professionalism, rudeness, and borderline criminal behavior!

Overall great stay. It’s very close to a tram and bus stop and relatively close to an U bahn station. There is a small shopping centre close by with a couple stores and restaurants. The room was comfortable enough. I do wish there was a/c as it was very warm in our rooms most nights and the lowest setting didn’t cool it off much. There is a main power switch that also turns on the lights above bathroom. So it meant that if you wanted a small reading light at night you also had to have the blaring
