Staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean but small. AC was great but fan was noisy. They stored their bedding carts right outside our door so we had to climb around it every time. It must have been a great place in its heyday but now it is just the 3rd floor and 4th floor restaurant. I was disappointed with it!

We arrived early for check in and, as one of the rooms was available, they let us check in early and put all our stuff in there. They also let us eat a late breakfast as we were leaving very early the next morning and wouldn’t get the included breakfast. That was the good stuff… This place feels old and dirty. There was a head board in my room that was just an all-around bad choice: light-colored and material that couldn’t be wiped down. It was also very noisy— like my windows were open. I was next to the front desk so I could hear everything going on out there. I went out to get some help with the random light switches into a cloud of cigarette smoke that also leaked into my room. The staff was nice enough but otherwise an unpleasant stay.
Unfortunate choice for a head board.

How this hotel can be rated as 4 star is a joke, the photos of the rooms must be at least 10 years old. The only positive was that I arrived early and was able to go straight to my room, on the door opening the smell wasn't inviting and then it went downhill from then on, if I hadn't paid upfront I would immediately have left. The place is in desperate need of an update and deep clean, the 'balcony' was so small not even a chair on it, the bedding was no longer white but grey and had holes in it. I decided (as I'd paid) to stay a night, the shower was good, I had food on the rooftop terrace which was extremely busy and was ok, but breakfast the next morning was so poor. I then decided I had to cut my losses and move and when I told he guy I was leaving early he never even asked me why, think he may be used to it. Such a shame it has been let to run down as the location is great, but it has no amenities as it occupies the floors of another hotel.

Enjoyable stay

The hotel is great value for money in an excellent location. We had a harbour view room which was worth the extra. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there is a lovely rooftop bar and restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay.
