Unfortunately, I would not recommend The Ryder, especially for the price. The hotel itself has a cute aesthetic, but overall, the amenities, cleanliness, and service did not live up to what we paid. When we arrived, the bathroom was dirty to the point that I ended up having to clean it myself, which was extremely disappointing for a hotel at this price point. We were also staying on the fourth floor, which was unnecessarily inconvenient to access. You have to take one elevator to the third floor, walk across the floor to another elevator, and then take that elevator up to the fourth. While that setup itself wasn’t a huge deal, the button to call the second elevator was half broken. Every time we needed it, we had to press the button over and over again and wait several minutes before it would finally work. Again, not something you expect when paying this much for a hotel. The pool was another major frustration. It was constantly packed, and we were unable to even use it during our stay because there were never chairs available. A large portion of the pool crowd seemed to be people who weren’t even staying at the hotel and were there on day passes, while paying hotel guests couldn’t find a place to sit. They advertise a two-hour chair policy, but that clearly was not being enforced. If the pool is going to be promoted as one of the hotel’s main amenities, actual hotel guests should have a reasonable opportunity to use it. Overall, you’re solely paying for the aesthetics.

The hotel, location, restaurants and staff are amazing and the Christmas decoration was so beautiful. We will always remember our stay at this hotel. It’s a very special place.
