Excellent!!!!! Such a nice staff. Great bed, linens and pillows.Comfy, cozy and close to everything. The owners have thought of everything, right down to tool for crystal digging and a wash station in a garden area with grills, fire area and tons of seating.
Our family really enjoyed our two night stay in the Crystal Suite. Beautiful room and conveniently located for our rockhounding adventures. The rock cleaning station in the patio area was a great touch!
Adorable property, and felt very luxurious !!! Loved the shower!!! Great location, close to the crystal mines and shops. Will definitely stay again!!!!
The room was wonderful! I loved the decor, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had a separate shower and a large soaking tub! The owner's provided extra amenities such as snacks, tea & coffee, handmade bath bombs, and they even had extra charging cords/plugs to use in the room in case you forgot yours. I'll definitely be staying again next time in the area!
It was in center of town and very peaceful. My Ida is a very small friendly town. Although we didn’t use it really liked the garden area and facilities for rock cleaning. It was a very comfortable stay and would definitely recommend
We are already planning a return trip; that should speak volumes. It's within easy walking distance of the outdoor Front Porch stage, where local and regional bands play mostly roots Americana on Saturday nights all summer long.
We enjoyed the stay. The bed was super comfortable and the big bathtub was very relaxing. What a beautifully restored property. The yard/patio area was very welcoming and we enjoyed the 2 cats who were always happy to greet us at the door. We'll definitely be back
Spectacular property. Room is stylish and comfortable. Spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and well organized. Nicest owner we ever met! Crystal washing station right in the backyard. Delicious Mexican restaurant that is walking distance. Close to crystal mines. Looking forward to our next trip to Rockhound Boutique Hotel!
This room was beautiful! The decor and amenities in the room was like a bed and breakfast. The room and bathroom had everything you need and more. Id recommend it to anyone who likes a quiet comfortable room for the night. The area around the property looks to be a work in progress. Id definitely stay here again.
Solo traveled from Wisconsin to go to the quartz mines. This location was close and not hidden in the middle of the woods. Couple restaurants you can walk to. Very modern bathroom!
Room was set up very beautifully, bed was very comfy.
We stayed for two nights, I do understand there's no room service. But there's only one little small trash can in the bathroom. My husband have to go outside the street to dump our trash. If I have to pay $100 per night, I would like to have my bedroom clean daily with new towels and bigger trash can.
Our room was beautiful! It was very cozy and clean. The staff were instantly responsive. I really liked the check-in process. I received a text at checkin time explaining how to get in. They also have lots of rock hounding equipment to borrow for using at the nearby crystal mines. There was a delicious Mexican restaurant within walking distance. They even have $1 Taco Tuesday night! I would 💯 percent recommend staying at the Rock Hound Boutique.
The room was spectacularly clean! Everything was beautiful and comfortable. The decor was adorable. We enjoyed the hot coffee, tea, and the deep soaker tub after a hard day of digging for diamonds. We loved the location as it was so close to local shops and eateries. The side garden where you could borrow mining equipment and clean your finds was perfect. Enjoyed the firepit and had smores with neighbors! 5 stars, if ever up there again, will absolutely stay there again!

The room was very pretty. Nice tub with bath salts. Quiet. Restaurants within walking distance. Comfortable bed. Nice yard. Improvements would be some bubble bath. Drawers for clothing. Something to hang clothes An armoire if there is room or a coat rack would help. Thanks
This is one of my very favorite hotels of all time! I believe there are just 3 beautifully renovated rooms in a historic building. From the lovely wallpaper to the gorgeous and comfortable bed, to all the little amenities, to the fabulous bathroom - the value is incredible. There is even a pretty little courtyard where you can relax. If you are there on a Saturday you can walk about 100 steps to the courthouse where they have live music in the evening. I wasn’t sure how check in would work but they will text you with info on how to open your room and you just park out front.
This is an adorable, small business motel. The room was perfect for our needs and the garden area to clean rockhound finds was ideal! I would suggest bringing a small coffee maker if you’re not keen on instant coffee or you aren’t a tea person. My friend had to get his coffee fix at the restaurants in town because he’s a snob about instant coffee (haha). I loved the little touches of consideration for room amenities (popcorn, tea setup, cold water in the fridge, etc.). Would make this my go-to for Mt. Ida if they allowed my pup to stay also, but I know there are many pet owners who might not clean up after their doggos very well. Thank you for the lovely accommodations!
