A decent enough motel for our one night stay...we arrived after a long drive from Kangaroo Island and decided to dump our bags and have dinner. The restaurant was clean and staff friendly....the food was good as was the wine. Comfortable room, clean and tidy and a decent shower though rather noisy through the night with road noise. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but set us up for the day and both dinner and breakfast were good value for money.

Lovely large room and great to have mugs for tea/coffee! Bed was very comfy. Our heater wasn’t working but staff very quickly offered us another room or a heater. If I had to pick something negative I’d say it’s nearly time for new towels. We’d stay here again 😄

The on site dining was excellent. Staff were also very good. Room was huge and very clean. Only downfall was the flooding in the bathroom. The shower drain couldnt cope with rain shower, so it flowed to drain in middle of the bathroom. A bathmat levee did the trick.

There was blood stains over the quilt and the pillows were so old they were disintegrated. The breakfast was cold and coffee machine was empty and no water and no-one there to speak to, to solve the problem. We went to reception and they said they would report it to the manager, who was the owner. We left them with a business card for the owner to ring me with no luck.

Overall the property was clean and neat. The dishes needed a good was not a simple wipe out. But I booked for the restaurant for dinner, the cooked breakfast to room and room service non of which were available due to being closed over the new year period. So this should have been advised or allowed me to cancel with refund.

Mediocre at best.

Greeting at reception was very nice and the room was initially very clean. I had two issues with my stay; 1. the room wasn't cleaned by housekeeping the next morning with the bed not made, nor was the bathroom surfaces (vanity and basin) wiped. I simply had new towels added. 2. The loud screaming noise (like a smoke detector) that the plumbing made when the neighbor had a shower late at night. It was so loud I went to reception worried about an alarm going off :) and they came to investigate it and heard it also.

The property was lovely . The room was very clean except for the bathroom which had hair on the floor under the basin area - quite obvious The treadle on the bin was broken or had come lose - just needs checking Otherwise a very nice place to stay

seen better days both outside and in. walls in corridor were damaged on ground floor. pool looked uninviting. the staff seemed sweet but only there up to 5pm . room change and maid service wasn't done by 4pm so we just asked for towels and nice front reception lady brought us clean towels. towels were old and heavily used. we have some been told by locals to stay at the commodore instead. 1980s vibe. depressing. breakfast on offer for $15 continental. don't even bother

Recommended. Older couple getaway.

Very nice older style motel with updated amenities inside. Clean and comfortable with lovely service. Pool was heaven after a hot day and was not chlorine but saltwater (yay). Lovely entryway with piano and curved staircase to upper floor. Restaurant on site that caters breakfast as well. We would definitely stay again.
