- Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, property conditions & facilities
There are two parts to my review: 1) the property in general, and 2) how they are dealing with the Covid-19 situation. First, we stayed in a cabin and it was beautiful. It was clean and comfortable and we could not have asked for more. You should be aware that there is no cell service on the property, and no wifi in the room. You have to go a couple of hundred yards to the office to get wifi. It is a ranch, and that was perfectly fine. Second, we were not pleased with how they were adapting to the pandemic. We had just come from cabins inside the park at the Grand Canyon, and we were impressed with their level of concern and adaptation. All employees in the park wore masks, they left our room empty for 24 hours after cleaning it, and it just seemed like a high priority to keep everybody safe. At the ranch, and in Utah around Zion in general, many people did not seem to care about masks. When I checked in, the three staff people in the lobby were not wearing masks, nor were any of the staff in the restaurant. They seemed oblivious or uninterested. We also saw that people moved out of the cabin next to us and new people moved in the same day. When we moved in, we opened all the windows, ran the AC, and wiped down all that we could. So the bottom line is that this is a wonderful and beautiful place, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. But I am not sure it is the best place to stay during the pandemic. Everybody has their own level of comfort. You decide.
