Clean room , renovated. New mattresses. Staff courteous helpful. Continental breakfast. Love coming every year with family over winter weekend. Close to mountain Wisp, have big safe hill near resort for sledding. Bring your own sleds. Cross country sleeping on property is also a plus, but bring your own skis .

The rooms were very clean, but restraunt/lounge was closed due to no staff and that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel because there is nothing close to go eat and have a drink, so we chose this hotel BUT it was not open and no where on the web site it said it was closed, and was not told this when they called to confirm my resorvations, didnt find out until we got there so that was a dissapointment, the tv screeen was messed up, very very small. I would stay again IF the restaruant is open. the views are beautiful. rooms clean,but call ahead next time. some of the games in the game room were also broken.

Nice area, rustic facilities. Continental breakfast was as advertised, not great but perfectly adequate. The resort has nice facilities (golf course, indoor pool, fitness center, lake side swimming area and kayak rentals). Something for all ages.

Alpine Lake is a beautiful place to visit and stay. It was fall and rainy during our visit but we plan to return and enjoy the many recreational opportunities Alpine Lake affords. The staff was helpful and available and we had a wonderful visit. Alpine Lake is a hidden gem.

This is a nice area. The lodge is under renovation, kind of. They are installing new flooring. Not sure what else is going to happen. There are rooms that they allow for pet owners. This was a problem in the early morning as the dogs barked for a very long time. No sleeping in. Overall, the staff was nice, the rooms are dated but the area is beautiful.

The restaurant has the best reuben on planet earth. The facilities are not five star, but they are clean and and maintained. they were all decorated for Halloween, which was adorable.

The resort was in a beautiful location, very quiet and serene. The rooms at the lodge were very clean, but outdated and worn. The restaurant served lunch and dinner, a small menu - but the food was good. They need to add breakfast from the restaurant instead of "grab and go" which is very limited.

Room was cheap & did the job. We wanted to visit a brewery nearby and this was the closest place. We found used dirty underwear in our room. Check in is at 4 and the front desk also closed at 4, they put a lock on the door. Advertised a bar & lounge both of which were closed during our stay. Wasn’t looking for anything super fancy, but for it to be a resort it’s disappointing the condition the rooms were in. Everything was dated, carpet was kind of gross, and wondered if I should even sleep in the beds there.

The property was clean, but its very old, the mattresses were uncomfortable, rooms smell musty from old carpeting. The dining room was nice, the food expensive, we had bad shrimp and steak served to us, they did not realize the cooler had stopped working. Breakfast bar absolutely sucked, and there is nothing nearby to eat at, everything is 25 minutes away. Staff was very nice, the grounds are well kept, restaurant shuts down when they have private event, leaving you no choice for dining at the resort except the bar

Went to check in and was told dogs were an issue and we couldn’t stay in the rooms we booked. We were then moved to the older rooms which smelled significantly of mildew. The rooms did not look the same as what I had paid for online, the tv was not good, the beds and pillows were absolutely terrible. We spent the entire 3 nights there completely unable to sleep and tossed and turned all night. Nowhere when booking the room was I given an option to check that I was bringing dogs or given any notice that that would cause me to not get the room I reserved. I was led to believe that upon arrival I would have to notify the front desk that I had a dog with me and pay the $25 fee, didn’t realize this meant paying full price for a nicer room on top of the fee and getting moved to a very sub-par and uncomfortable room. Other than the room issues I will say the resort was beautiful and that the restaurant/ bar was very good and a nice place to eat and drink. Highly recommend stopping at least at the restaurant.
