Stable conversion which works well. Appreciated the early check in, easy to check in instructions. Slight stale smell, maybe related to previous dampness; this was on arrival and persisted- may warrant investigation. Otherwise appreciated and good value for money.
The drain in the bath room was clogged, so the water wouldn’t go down. There was no door for the bath room and toiler and the bed was only 70mm wide. But the hotel is very close to train station and the staffs are kind.
Stayed here for 2 days. Very close to the train station, as well as the bus stop for local buses to nearby villages. It was perfect for my needs. Bed was comfortable as well, and I slept like a baby.
NOTE: There's no door to the bathroom (only a curtain). If you're sharing a room, make sure you're comfortable with this.
I'm not sure about the other rooms, but the twin bed room is too small for two people. When you walk in you are facing the shower. The bathroom a step up to the right has no door. The shower did not drain properly and water pooled near the carpet and electrical cords that were placed under an area rug. I doubt that it is up to safety codes. There is nowhere to put your belongings. We literally slept with our bags at the foot of our beds. One bed was very small. Mine was comfortable and I felt the bedding was of good quality. I liked the old world charm, but I don't feel the space was big enough for two. I question the safety of the shower flooding near wires. When you first walk in the building is dark and not that nice. The courtyard where the rooms were was nice, but that initial impression was not good. Expensive for what you get.

Charming but needs improvements
The location of the property is perfect for your stay in Morton-in-Marsh and gives a very cute first impression.
However, when it comes fo functionality it is lacking. The twin room is much smaller than the description indicates, with no privacy between the shower, toilet and beds.
The two beds at at one end of the long room with one having a lamp balancing over it on a small shelf. It also needs its matress replaced as it sinks in tbe middle. The second bed is close to the wooden (Barn type door) that has a constant draft, so in the mist of winter was freezing over night.
The linnen however is quite cosy.
Between the beds is an old desk, that could be removed and replaced with wall shelves to help with space.
The heating is a plug inelectric that really stuggled with the minus degrees over night and drafts from the door.
It is the cutest little room and with some privacy curtains, fixing the draft and heating is a fun stay away if are close friends.
This was perfect for us. It felt private yet connected to everything. Loved the welcome basket. Only a few minor changes like less scent in the entry and linens - although some may like that. We also had a little difficulty finding the place. Contact information provided got us sorted. We would stay here again for sure.
The property photo advertising Bankview is a total con and does not relate to the accomodation in any way, the photo is FALSE. The shower waste in both rooms stank, the hot water in room 2 sink was non existant. Both rooms, 4 in total are located in converted outbuildings in the garden of a dilapidated high st cottage through which you have to pass to reach the rooms. Received emails from person responsible for digital keylock access with wrong number compared to previously received.
DO NOT STAY AT THESE PREMISES, POORLY REPRESENTATIVE OF THE COTSWOLDS
This is a really cute place but several things need to be upgraded. One the Bed, it has no support and two the sewer smell coming from the bathroom. We would walk in from being out all day and it was muggy sewer smell as soon as you stepped into the room. I think there is something wrong with the way the trap was put in for the plumbing.
Room was damp and fan heater - nothing like the photos on the website. I REFUSED TO STAY AND LEFT. RUINED MY EVENING

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The property was not as the website showed. There was no door separating the toilet or shower. It was freezing cold the whole time. We had bugs, and the shower water was either freezing or scalding hot. For the price we were charged for 2 nights, the quality was shocking. There was a lamp balancing on a shelf that almost fell on me during the night. We were really shocked when we walked into this property and felt we were blindsided.
I would not recommend this property which I will explain below.
When you arrive at the property you go through a corridor to a courtyard that has 4 rooms. The courtyard was nice but unfortunately it is all gravel which makes pulling suitcases difficult. The twin room is called the Hobbit Hole and it truly is. This is a room about the size of a walk in closet with a bed squeezed in horizontally and one vertically, neither bed has room for a night stand or lamp. There is a small desk between the side of one bed and the end of the other. There is hardly any room to open your suitcase on the floor and nowhere to unpack items, we used the windowsill. When you enter the room it opens directly into the shower part of the bathroom with a barn door separating it from the bed area. The barn door is not installed well or the walls are uneven as it was very difficult to roll it open and closed. There are no towel racks to hang towels in the bathroom, no heat in bathroom so cold slick floors, in the bed area there is a piece of wood glued to the wall with 5 or 6 hangars to hang clothes, there is no closet. We paid £388 for 3 nights and it honestly was not worth more than £25 per night. I honestly think the owner should be ashamed to charge this for a room that I would doubt meets fire and safety guidelines. The only positive is the location which is only a block from the train station. I have pictures if required.
