The ‘old bask’ (with its spacious studios on the upper floors with the seaside view) was always a lovely place to stay, with its close proximity to piers, docks & restaurants. The now completed additions are an upgrade but now it also includes the new restaurant “mar” with a Top Chef associate running the kitchen (one had to try the grilled octopus sitting on a plantain!) This puts Morehead City into a whole new experience level, justifying the long trip

The room was very spacious and clean. We had a nice view of the water. The front desk representative was friendly at check-in. The only complaint was the breakfast brought to the room. You place an order the night before and it's brought to your room. The food was not good. You had to pay for parking as well.

The floors in our room turned the bottoms of our feet black upon arrival. Otherwise, it was clean and comfortable. Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. We had a tiny room and the only place to sit and eat was in bed. Not a fan of ordering breakfast and having it delivered to the room - just have a simple continental breakfast in the lobby where the dining area is. People have to come down to get coffee anyway. The only reason I booked was because it was directly in front of the transient docks where my boat was. I probably wouldn’t stay here again. The staff was very friendly, however.

We enjoyed our stay at the Bask Hotel. The rooms are clean, roomy, and super comfortable, and the whole place just has a friendly vibe—like everyone’s in a good mood. It’s also nice and quiet, which makes it perfect if you just want to chill and not deal with a lot of noise or crowds. You’ve got plenty of restaurants nearby, so finding something good to eat is quick and easy. And if you feel like getting out and exploring a bit more, Beaufort is just a short drive away with more to do, shops to check out, and that classic waterfront feel. Overall, it’s got that laid-back, island-style vibe that makes it really easy to just relax and enjoy your trip.
