The room we stayed in was clean and had what we needed (bed and personal bathroom). But that was it, it was very small with nothing extra. The food at the lodge was pretty good and the view of the lake was amazing!
The staff, nice. Room was very old for the price and needed some air circulation. I room and bathroom did appear clean though and the bed was comfortable
It was clean and the staff was excellent to work with when i needed to change the reservation. The room was very minimalist--no fridge, microwave, kleenex, cups or glasses, TV, clock or radio and very few electrical outlets for charging. However, if all you want to do is sleep, it was pleasant and adequate. The restaurant has good food and reasonable prices.
It was a place to stay. It was clean. Super small, dank, and the picture shows the main nice building. We were across the road and it was the most expensive place I have ever stayed that was that low quality. I get it, they have a brief window to make money. Just an honest review, don’t expect much.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The lodge was old and dated but that was expected and did not bother us. I gave a lower rating because the beds that were in our room were awful. I'm not too picky about beds, but I could feel the bumpy springs in the bed - they definitely need to change out the mattresses. (just a note that my parents were in a different unit and it was nice and comfy)
It also should be noted that the walls are paper thin so you can hear all of your neighbor's conversations and "other activities".
The wooden lodge itself is unique. I was extremely skeptical about the bathroom and shower not inside the lodge but there were 4 shower and bathroom for 5 lodges. I was kind of use one for ourselves.
We understand rustic and outdated, but this was unpleasant and uncomfortable. Uneven floors, paper thin walls, torn carpet, squeaky beds, and too small for 4 people
The room was quiet and clean but the property is in need of help. Bed was old and the water pressure is almost nonexistent. Room is very small. I would still stay there but for only one night not three. Moose Pass is a good location for Seward.
Typical bait and switch!! Picture IS NOT of the place we stayed!!! Had lunch before we found our room. Wife didn't even make it out of the restaurant before she became ill. We both developed food poisoning. And again, NO refrigerator and one of us had to crawl across the bed from the foot as there was NO room against the wall!! RUN FAST!!!
Really enjoyed my stay at Trail Lake Lodge. The setting is stunning and I had a great meal at the restaurant after a day of fishing in the rain. It's also conveniently located between Cooper Landing and Seward.
