Excellent property, conveniently located between Anchorage and Seward. The rooms were really comfortable and overall we had a comfortable and memorable stay.
The owners and staff are super friendly, the lodge, cabins and location are beautiful and clean and the overall experience was wonderful. Would absolutely recommend!
Cooked to order breakfast was great and is included. The grounds around property was well maintained. Included kayaks if you wanted to use them on the lake. Dinner was good also. Beautiful place.
This is a beautiful spot and one of the most welcoming spaces we have stayed. The location is convenient to hiking, fishing, and easily drivable to Seward and/or Homer for a day. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic and the onsite restaurant, deli/pizza/ice cream space was convenient. We can not wait to return next year!
We had an amazing at this lodge. The property is on a beautiful lake and the nature around the entire property is mind blowing. The owners of the property are great and the food served there was also wonderful. We highly recommend this property to anything going towards Seward.
The property and lake are beautiful . The lake front room was really nice , comfortable and the view of the lake was amazing . Breakfast in the morning was really tasty and the owners are really nice and down to earth . And the ice cream is soooo good too ....
From the minute we checked in at Summit Lake Lodge, we felt like we had stepped into a movie. The lodge is absolutely beautiful, tucked into the mountains and overlooking the stunning Summit Lake. It’s one of those places that feels special the moment you arrive.
We stayed in one of the Historic Rooms and loved it. The room was incredibly spacious, with a wonderfully soft and comfortable bed, plenty of storage, two sinks, and a separate toilet room. It had all the charm you’d hope for in a historic lodge without sacrificing comfort.
We also ate both dinner and breakfast at the lodge, and everything was delicious. But what really made our stay memorable was the hospitality. Everyone was so genuinely warm and welcoming—it’s the kind of hospitality you expect when you’re staying with family.
Summit Lake Lodge was such a special part of our time in Alaska, and we truly couldn’t recommend it enough. Beautiful setting, wonderful food, comfortable rooms, and people who make you feel right at home. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.
Gamily owned and they all so nice and helpful. They had great food and drinks. It is a convenient spot to several little towns. We really enjoyed staying there.
Such an amazing place. The staff, food, and proximity to wildlife/wilderness are all outstanding. Anyone looking to head off into the last great frontier should have a stay at the Summit Lake Lodge for a night or two. Recommend renting the lakefront cabins, as waking up to a cup of coffee in bed with incredible views helps start any day with a smile. A special thanks to Brandon and Lindsey for making it a very memorable trip for my entire family.
We really enjoyed our 3-night stay with Summit Lake Lodge. The owners/family, Marty, June, Brandon & Lyndsey made us fill so much like we were at home away from home. Great breakfast, atmosphere and above all terrific customer service from all employees/staff. We highly recommend this Lodge to anyone traveling in Alaska!
Amazing Property, we will definitely make plans to stay again at this adorable cabin. The food at the Lodge was amazing, but the Carrot Cake was the icing on the cake! Best Carrot Cake Ever!
Great cabin, roomy clean and updated. We were upgraded when we checked in. Cute restaurant for breakfast and dinner. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
