It was simple and clean and the staff was noice - location is really great! Good spot for just sleeping and taking shower (I wouldn't stay more than a night or 2 here but will 100% come back!)

Broken shower meaning we were unable to clean ourselves during this stay. The shower head had fallen off and was on the floor. The base of the shower had also recently been ‘repaired’ with duct tape, which barely covered the seal at the base of the shower. There were multiple holes in the pillow cases, which were also dirty. The bed was squeaky and uncomfortable. There was exposed wires in our room, a blatant lack of safety protocols were followed. The signage for the room was hand written on paper, resembling signage that had been put together by a child. Duct tape all over the handles and locks of the doors. Overall a very bad experience, so much so that we had to book a different hotel for our second night. I expect a full refund for such a terrible experience. If you would like me to provide photos of all of the issues mentioned, I am more than happy to do so, there is but no option to do so through this message board. Many thanks

The hostel is very dimly lit, and it was near impossible to find an attendant after checking in, but it was a great value in a great location, and I never felt unsafe

The pods could use some extra cleaning as there was a hand print on the stainless panel inside and some dirty substance on the roof upon arrival. There is only 1 toilet and shower to share between everyone else staying there which didn’t seem to be an issue on our stay but the shower requires attention and was hanging off the wall

Great Staff but you may get a lemon module

it's a Hostel and it looked quit modern and the modules are supposed to be sound proof but my bottom bunk was do squeaky that every time I tossed to one side the whole module would squeak leaving no peace for my neughbours and my back was just killing me every night the mattress was so thin I could feel the steel bar underneath my back all night ,... I got the lemon bed I assumed ... and I felt the place needed to be sprayed for bugs had to wash all my cloths at the laundry mate to make sure I was taking on any viditors... I must say it's cheap and you a lousy bed well you pay for what you get for. Nonetheless the staff where found regularly cleaning and courteous .... Madelaine made a good impression on me and thus the reason I stayed the full three nights. If go to a hostel remember to request a good functioning module .... it's in the old Montreal section which is a perfect location to access the historical sites of this great city.

Health agencies need to shut this place down.

Dirty and smelly toilets. Bedding was not even fresh when I checked in. There were stains and food crumbs. Very poor ventilation.

Cheap… but noisy throughout the night with 10 pods to a room. Some guests left dirty pots, pans and dishes in the kitchen. By night, there were no towels left in the shower. Many times there was no one to assist in any way.

Overall: not great but good location

Big meh for this place. Though relatively new it’s definitely showing hard wear that hasn’t been repaired. Many of the pods had doors missing and replaced with blinds. The airflow system in the pods was virtually non-existant. The courtyard to outside was inaccessible due to mattresses and equipment blocking the doors. The mattresses in the pods were creaky and not great. There were no rules posted for quiet times and a few guests were playing the television very late into the night. The only reason I’d suggest staying here is that the location is very good and the staff were pleasant.

About the scammed

I stayed here for one night and was told upon arrival that the payment I made on the website had not been received by the hotel. As a result, I was asked to pay again at the hotel. Despite my concerns about a duplicate payment, I was assured that a refund would be provided. However, it has now been over two months, and I have yet to receive the refund. I called the hotel directly to follow up, and while they acknowledged the issue and confirmed that a refund would be issued, no progress has been made. This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel and will not be returning.

Unsanitary and Lacking Safety

As a woman solo traveling I would never recommend this “hostel” to someone. There are not locks on the pod doors or the lockers. It is extremely poorly maintained with stains on the ceiling of the pods, the towels, and the beds. The rooms have no ventilation so they smell with sweaty feet. It certainly doesn’t meet fire or safety codes. There is one unclean bathroom (one toilet and one sink and one shower) for the whole hostel. The code for the front door was generic and clearly repeatedly used and rarely changed. The door to the pod rooms doesn’t lock properly and the code is generic and clearly unchanged. So if you stayed there once you could repeatedly let yourself in. And there was no concierge or staff working to prevent or deter that from happening. Would not recommend. It is cheaper than everywhere else for a reason

The location is IDEAL and the price was reasonable, but that is where the good things end. I only needed one night, so it was worth it, but the property is super creepy. You check in with a screen rather than a person. Eventually a person appeared, and tried to be helpful, but he didn't know anything about parking (use a pay lot) and dressed and acted more like the guy at 7/11 than a hotel clerk. The craziest thing about this guy is that because there is no check-in desk, he spends his time curled up in a chair in the back of the dark downstairs hall playing video games on his phone. The pods are in a dark basement with almost no ventilation. It smells musty and the halls and like b.o. in the pod room. There is 1 single-stall bathroom for all the pods. There is a kitchen with a fridge (which was nice), but the counters were sticky and the garbage was overflowing. I will say that the pods were clean and each pod was also provided with a nice locker. I didn't know to bring a lock, so the locker was useless for secure storage. Instead I left my bag in my pod when I went out. It turned out ok, but made me nervous. The pods do not lock and in fact don't even close. You just cover the opening with a pull-down shade. You can hear everyone else in the pod room (maybe ten pods?) and in the hall where it was loud until after midnight. This opening is the only ventilation in the pod, so it got hot at night. There is key code door, but it had to be propped for ventilation, so not secure.
