There is a fresh puddle of urine at the entrance on a daily, steep stairs to get in and out (definitely not recommended of you have luggage or any type of mobility issues). The location is pretty good and the room was a decent size though.

No parking at the facility and with all the construction going on right now, finding parking is very difficult and confusing. Construction has made for very many one-way streets and finding parking isn’t easy. Also be aware that there’s no elevator and there are many stairs to climb to get to Reception. And there was no way to park to unload your luggage. On the other hand, the location is very convenient.

The only benefit of staying in this property that, it is in downtown so you can walk to all attractions in downtown but the area around this property is kinda shady. Homeless people are walking around so kinds risky in night. The property entrance is so dirty and stinky. The drainage in the washroom is worst. Overall our experience was okay.

The location was amazing. The listing said nothing about 5 different stair cases and that the hotel staff allow homeless people into those staircases. The entry way was littered with pee and weed smell. The owners could easily change the entrance and lock the front door. I would not recommend this place to anyone other than a young middle aged person that need the location.

You get what you pay for. This place has an awesome location. But it is an old building parading as a hotel run like a hostile. No real amenities. Switch plates were missing. Bathroom door was hanging off the door jamb but it has been cleaned. No elevator and lots of stairs. Entrance to the hotel was next to a sex shop, an outdoor roller rink .

So you can’t beat the location! It is right on Ste-Catherine and close to the action. However, it will scare you a little walking up the big staircase which had a distinct smell, and having to be buzzed in. It’s 24 hrs to be buzzed in which I was thankful for after I realized my surroundings. There was a broken air conditioner and an old bed frame in the hallway where my room was. Windows were filthy and rooms were definitely no frills, but the room was decently clean and my air conditioner worked. When I opened my window, I had a clear view of the street which was nice. Staff is friendly. I am a single woman traveler and I felt safe. I would stay here again!! The Complexe Desjardins is a 2 min walk. Lots of restaurants etc in the area.

Great little hotel in a perfect location if you plan on walking around and touring downtown montreal. Close to the metro and shopping centers. Lots of little food places around too. Room was clean and the staff were very friendly. The terrace is nice to enjoy your morning coffee. We enjoyed our stay and will be coming back again.

We had a wonderful stay..very nice location..clean..I would stay again..the only downside was you need to climb 27 steps to get to the lobby..we could not control the air conditioner and shower was cold in the morning.for the price and location..it worked for us.

Location, location, location is key! 📍🔑 This hotel is right in the heart of Montreal, close to all the tourist spots, shopping, and nightlife like Old Montreal, Notre Dame, Rue St.Laurent, Rue St. Catherine, Quartier des Spectacles, Bell Centre, and Chinatown. 🏙️🛍️ The staff was super nice and helpful, and breakfast was your basic coffee, toast, fruit, and yogurt. ☕🍞 The hotel is a bit old, but the rooms are clean and well-kept, just small. 🏨✨ No elevator though, so be prepared to carry your bags up. 🪜💪 If you're looking for a downtown spot and won't be spending much time in your room, this is it! 🌆👍

The room was basic and adequate. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The AC was loud but worked well. The kitchenette was not well supplied, but we weren’t using this. There were some other things that showed lack of care: 1 bed had a plastic mattress cover that was ripped and bunching up (which I removed) and some surfaces hadn’t been dusted lately. That said I booked it the same day, so maybe it hadn’t been used lately and their housekeeping staff didn’t have time to double check its state.
