We were in the area and had really no other place to stay and ended up choosing this location. It looks charming and quaint from the outside but it's not great on the inside. I would not recommend.

Decent Montréal Stay Near Latin Quarter

Overall a decent place to stay, especially for a last minute booked trip. Room was clean, air-conditioned, and bed was comfortable. Sink in bathroom was not draining properly and shower was cramped with a slanted ceiling. Breakfast is included but don't expect anything more than the most basic items. Lots of stairs to climb, not suitable for people with mobility or health issues.

Very nice area, not too busy and loud. Rooms are like European hotels, small with a cozy vibe. Staff are friendly and I'd stay again. Price was nice as well.

Rooms and hotel are not like in pictures

We had I think the smallest room of the hotel, it was not clean, not safe and very noisy. A/C very loud and not efficacy. The breakfast saloon was not clean and the breakfast not so good. I do not recommend this hotel.

The front desk staff were very friendly and greeted me daily with a warm "good day." They were flexible to allow me a slightly later check out on my last day, which was very much appreciated. The pillows were really comfortable!

Charming Hotel

Quaint hotel with a 1920's vibe. It was very quiet and clean, and Sami, the manager, went out of his way to help me. Parking is available for an extra $40. The only drawback would be for those for whom stairs pose problems. Excellent location.

The hotel was sort of old European style badly maintained and quite infested. Free parking that comes with the room is actually an invitation to park on the street for a limited number of hours. Staff, even though they were polite and helpful, barely can speak English or French. The room, like the hotel, was falling apart with doors missing hinges and electrical outlet coming off the wall. Yet, the continental breakfast was surprisingly delivered as promised.

We were very pleased with our stay. The hotel is old but clean and the beds are comfortable. Our room was small but equipped. The bathroom was truly tiny - only the kids could use the toilet without sitting sideways, but it had everything we needed. All of the staff we interacted with were very friendly and kind and the continental breakfast offered was a big bonus. While in a quieter area, it was a very walkable location with Rue St-Dénis and restaurants only a 5 minutes walk away and same distance to the central bus station. We would definitely stay again.
