Nice motel, clean rooms but small. No extras just a place to sleep. You can hear every movement in the adjoining rooms, not quiet but I think someone had a family get together, they all knew each other and was a bit loud.

We were passing thru and needed to rest our head. This place definitely a good place for the night. Booked online checked in got the keys and in the room it was like a 2min check in fast and easy. There were not much food options in the area only fast food I saw were McDonalds.

The Viking has had renovation work done, and is ideal for workers who are on extended stay in or near Montevideo, with an ample refrigerator and microwave. The artwork for each room is themed, and it's charming that the management also fosters local cats, and you can say hello to them during your visit.

The owner was very friendly and helpful. The staff was excellent and the room was very clean. It is in the process of being updated fresh paint, and the new paintings on the wall. The towels were above par for a well priced motel.

This was a really lovely motel stay. The room was clean and decorated well, with a large fridge and microwave, and enough chairs so we did not have to sit on the bed to eat. The little bag with snacks was sweet and appreciated. We were able to park right outside our room, which was great. The only issue we had was that we arrived late, and the directions sent us down the street to another location. We had to call to get the correct directions, and when we arrived, the area was not well lit, nor was the building next to it so we had some difficulty finding it. Because we arrived late, our key was taped to the office door, which was unexpected, but worked fine. This stop ended up being one of our favorite stays on our long trip, even though it was just for a quick overnight. Highly recommend as it was a very nice and comfortable room, especially for the price.

The room had all of the basic necessities and the fluffiest towels I’ve seen in years. The checking included a warm greeting by the staff cats.

Pleasant practical room. Just the basics. Parking vehicle right outside room door sure makes it easy to move in and out. No elevators! Walmart just down the street for supplies.

Everything about this motel is nicer than I expected. Its not fancy but for a small town motel it is one of the nicest I have stayed in. The bed was very comfortable, a large screen TV, the wifi was fast and reliable. There was a very comfortable reclining chair which is a nice touch. The water was always hot with great water pressure. And the towels were nice plushy towels, not like the cheap scratchy ones you get in most budget hotels. Also there is a mexican restaurant right next door if you don't want to drive. The staff was very friendly. My only complaint is that there was no coffee maker in the room. They had instant coffee, but that does not do it for me. If there was a coffee machine in the room I would have given the rating a 5.

It was a decent one night stop over/sleeping room but much of the property and room were outdated. We had a plug in heater to warm up the room and the curtains didn;t completely cover the window. We did appreciate the courtesy bag with some treats, water and pen/notebook. Low cost!

The only thing I didn’t like was the over powering smell of the fragrance plug ins. The smell is extremely strong. In my opinion, if it needs to be that strong, what smell is needing to be covered up? Just a heads up to the property, they are a fire hazard, and the fragrance is a carcinogen. The room I stayed in, the smoke alarm was on the desk.
