Great lodge! My boyfriend and I stayed on the cappuccino cabin, and the views of Monteverde are incredible! The hotel has multiple trails to walk around, and we spotted plenty of butterflies and agouties.

From the time we arrived to the time we left the staff was friendly. We stayed for 4 nights and reserved the hot tub once. We saw all kinds of birds and a coati family from our room. It was fantastic!!

Honestly a great deal for the price. A-frame tents were spacious (enough for us to open up two check in bags and a carry on and still be able to walk around). Our room has a view of the forest with nothing blocking it which was so amazing because we literally woke up to birds sitting in our balcony. We were only staying for one night and since we had an early start the next morning, the staff was nice enough to let us pick some items from their breakfast buffet before they had even opened. Honestly will recommend this hotel and will be prioritizing it for future stays as well!

We arrived with teens after a long drive in a downpour. Upon check in we learned there really were no gathering spaces or on-site options to get out of the cabin during bad weather, so it was not ideal for our circumstances. But, for activities in the area it is a great jumping off point and truly a magical little place. The breakfast was the best we had on our entire trip, and the sweet ladies who served it were just lovely. They even had a gluten free waffle ready to make for our daughter with celiac. It's a clean, beautiful, 5/5 little eco-lodge for a couples. But, If you're there during rainy season with teens/kids, maybe stay somewhere with a little more action.

Stayed one night at Tityra Lodge, Monteverde, and it was a lovely experience. The property is beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, making it a perfect spot to relax after exploring the area. The stay itself was comfortable and the highlight was definitely the delicious breakfast in the morning. Even though it was just a short stay, it was memorable and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Monteverde.

Beautiful property! Our room was wonderful. Comfy beds and pillows, lovely robes and slippers and the view from our porch was amazing. The breakfasts were great and as vegetarians we had lots of choices which was appreciated. The staff was so helpful and friendly.

This was the most amazing place in Monte Verde, the aesthetic vibes and energy that please gives off is just fantastic. I would 100% stay here again and the breakfast was delicious. I loved how they have an amazing view and their own little nature walk in their backyard basically. I love how they incorporated in adventure getaway with providing a robe that was extremely soft and slippers that made it feel like a resort. I also enjoyed and appreciated when they provided blankets. Not many places do that so I was able to get cozy and to watch TV as well as providing water in the fridge and a spot to make a coffee. The bed was super comfortable. It was not like other hotels that I have stayed in while in Costa Rica, where the bed was just super uncomfortable and made a lot of noise when moving. I would for sure recommend this place to my friends and family and anyone reading this message.

This place was BEAUTIFUL! The grounds are gorgeous and the accommodations were clean and comfortable. We loved the family-owned atmosphere and the breakfast was an added bonus. Our only complaint was that the water wasn’t very hot for showering. But they provided ropes and slippers so we were very warm otherwise. Great stay. Highly recommend!

We loved our peaceful and tranquil stay for 3 nights in December. We enjoyes walking around the properties grounds which has walking trails that go through the coffee /other fruit farms. We also saw several animals during by our walks! The breakfast, which was complimentary, was our favorite part of the days! Freshly made hot CR breakfast with eggs, variety of perfectly ripped fruit, fresh juice, coffee, and a variety of freshly made breads and pastries. Each day was a little different in what was offered but always several selections and very good. The staff are all very welcoming and the owner was present during breakfast to ask if we wish to have room keeping. The location is a little out of the main part of town. If you have a car, no problems but i would not recommend walking to town at night from hotel. We would absolutely stay with tityra lodge again! Pura Vida amigos.

Very nice family owned property with cabins in good condition and breakfast included. They don’t push for tours and you are free to choose your own tour company. There were bugs in the bedrooms and on the bed which we had to clear but that is expected in a eco resort in the mountains surrounded by woods. The bathroom was very spacious and nice. Only issue was the hot and cold water was not mixing well and only producing luke warm water

Room was clean and spacious. Fully surrounded by nature, even though it lacked any sort of “view” (facing directly into the woods). We saw loads of agouti and a whole pack of 20+ coatis rolled through before dusk. Lots of birds too. Only downsides of the room were open bathroom (no door, just “around the corner”) and the traffic noise was very loud with a major road located right behind our unit (Tucán). The dirt bikes and semi trucks are relentless - not really the fault of the hotel but must be mentioned for light sleepers. Our was friendly upon check-in and gave us a rolling cart to help get luggage up the semi-steep rock driveway to our unit. They also started breakfast early for us the next morning because we had a 645am shuttle pickup - very thoughtful!
