This hotel is outstanding and faultless. We wish that we'd stayed longer. The hotel is a 2 minute drive from cafes and restaurants, and is therefore perfectly set in its own grounds and tranquility. The staff are excellent and attentive. The food is delicious - we ate both breakfast and dinner, and both were equally delicious. We have no hesitation - we would recommend this to everybody and would return again.

Honestly, this hotel should be rated much higher. It felt luxe and private. Employees remembered us by name, always friendly, warm, and attentive. The pool was exceptional- heated to a perfect temp and so big that it always felt as if we had the whole pool to ourselves.

We enjoyed great service at this beautiful property. The food at the hotel was nice and the staff was helpful in booking tours and excursions in the area. I plan to stay at this hotel again when I make it back to Monteverde.

From start to finish an absolute delight to stay here! The grounds are gorgeous, the staff are all so kind and helpful, food was good. Loved it! Had a massage too! Highly recommend it’s a great place to stay.

Lovely and peaceful

It’s a lovely property, beautiful gardens, excellent food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We loved the pool and hot tub, and enjoyed the nature walk on the property. Wonderful trip!

The property is beautiful and well kept with a nice walking trail that circles the perimeter. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Pool was fabulous and a nice break after touring all day.

This property is well maintained and staff are great. It is a little far from town and the road was not the best. The room did not have air conditioning or a dehumidifier so it was not as comfortable as it could have been. Did not use the pool but it looked nice. Breakfast was great and the service staff were friendly and accommodating.

Our stay at Fondavela was great. The staffs are very friendly and nice. We should give 5 star for that. Our room was alright. We did see some bugs but given that it is surrounded by forest we can understand that. The restaurant on property was good. We played pool at the bar and relaxed.

If you want nature & tranqulity, this is a GREAT option. You see monkeys, various birds, and lizards around the property grounds. Only a 20 minute walk to Cari Canca bird reservation. Only complaint is they play loud music by the pool area which disrupts the peaceful environment. Lodging is large with high quality bathroom. Staff is kind & profession.

Great stay- staff at restaurant/bar super nice

Fantastic breakfast - staff at bar and breakfast were 5 star- so helpful and polite. Front desk staff was ok. Tv didn’t work and they told us a random excuse (tv’s working at the bar but not in the rooms?) - seems like many rooms didn’t have a tv that worked. Rooms were amazing - lots of space and clean. Towels provided for the pool. Again, staff at restaurant were A1.

The path to the rooms is not paved causing damage to luggage wheels. There are no other restaurants nearby for lunch or dinner. Very limited items for breakfast. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful.
