We had fabulous 3 night stay at Locanda Il Maestrale. The location towards the end of the main shopping street in old town Monterosso is excellent as it is quiet and convenient yet close to the shopping district and many excellent restaurants. It is also a short walk to the public beach and beach club in old town, the ferry dock and less than a 10 minute walk from the train station. The hosts were friendly and helpful and met us upon arrival for an easy check in and showing of the room and property. The daily breakfast included with the room was very good with fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, cold meats, coffee, tea, juice and other items served in the outdoor covered terrace. Coffee, pastries, fruit and a cold water dispenser were available 24/7. If you are looking for a conveniently located bed and breakfast with friendly hosts, clean and quiet rooms and a healthy delicious breakfast Locanda Il Maestrale comes highly recommended.

Our stay here was nothing short of exceptional. The location is perfect—just a short, easy walk from the train station, even with our luggage, and only steps from the beach. Everything in Monterosso is within walking distance. The staff made this our favorite stay we've ever had. This charming, family-owned hotel truly makes you feel like part of the family. Every morning we were greeted with warm smiles and delicious cappuccinos, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble. The breakfast was incredible, with fresh juice, a wonderful selection of food, and a beautiful terrace where we loved starting each day. The cold filtered water machine was an especially thoughtful touch during the heat wave. Our room was absolutely spotless, and the entire property was impeccably maintained. There is no elevator, but we knew that when we booked and were fully prepared to carry our luggage. To top it off, one of the staff members even kindly offered to carry our very heavy bags downstairs when we checked out. Travelling together, we've stayed in hotels across many countries over the past several years, and this was, without question, our favorite stay of all. We truly cannot say enough wonderful things about this place or the people who run it. A perfect 12/10—we would return in a heartbeat.

Charming hotel

The property was exactly like the website and it felt like a bed and breakfast only having six hotel rooms. The breakfast was simple and yet so charming. The location is in a nice quiet area away from the touristy hotels.
