The greatest part about the Monterey Hotel was how it was on the same street as all the shops and very close to fisherman’s wharf as well as the place where the trolley picks you up for free and drives you to Cannery Row. Great location overall! Very spacious bathroom. The staff were extremely fast to come bring new towels or empty trash cans.

- Great location! There are lots of restaurants, bars, and things to do within walking distance, which made getting around very easy. - valet parking was available and was a nice convenience. - the room was clean and comfortable, although a bit smaller than expected - the sour water pressure was pretty weak, which was probably my biggest complaint - amenities are somewhat limited compared to other hotels in the area - the staff was friendly, and overall the state was pleasant - despite the comments above, I would definitely stay here again if I needed a convenient place to stay in Monterey. The location is hard to be, and having so many food and drink options nearby made the stay enjoyable.

It was a nice hotel within a short drive to Cannery Row and within walking distance to fisherman's wharf. Cute street, friendly staff. Parking was easy and right down the street. You pay $8/day with in/out entry privileges. You don't have to pay parking from 6pm to 9 am. The coffee was very good!! This is an older hotel but with lots of character. Great downtown location.
