Absolutely loved my stay at Palacete de Real Companhia do Cacau! Afonso and his family were warm and welcoming, and the service was outstanding. They went above and beyond to make me feel welcome The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and full of history and charm. It’s also located in the lovely town of Montemor-o-Novo. The highlight was definitely the on-site chocolate factory tour and tasting — such a unique touch! A perfect mix of hospitality, comfort, and experience. Highly recommend.

Hotel charmoso e atendimento de primeira.

O corpo do hotel é instalado num palacete totalmente restaurado, com grande cuidado aos detalhes e extremamente charmosos. Os quartos ficam numa ala anexa e são amplos, modernos e confortáveis. O hotel tem ainda uma piscina numa área gramada extremamente agradável, além de sauna e equipamentos de ginástica. São menos de 10 quartos, pelo que a experiência é a de estar hospedado em uma casa de amigos e não num hotel. Os proprietários são extremamente atenciosos e gentis, assim como seus funcionários. Uma experiência realmente única. Recomendo vivamente a viajantes que estejam explorando o Alentejo.

A hidden palace!

Not the easiest place to find in Monetemor and the discreet brass plate at the door is the only sign you have arrived at your destination. But once the door opens you are treated as an honoured guest, your every need catered for. The food is probably the best you will have in Portugal and served in an elegant dining room on beautiful tableware. Our bed was, I think, a double emperor size! Do visit and enjoy!
