First room was full of big ants in the window, curtain and frame on 2nd floor. The front desk person didn’t appear to care or know what to do. I requested another room just to be told no more double beds.Second room was on first floor with no ants. Luckily I had family to help with kids due to having to change bed type due to ants. It was always a stressful due to funeral as reason for stay. Then having room issues and one less bed does not help.

Easy to find, very clean, easy to get in and out of the building with the room key, nice dining area. Under construction while there so pool was closed but small. Room was clean, great water pressure. I did not do the breakfast - some fruit, a warmer with a few options, make your own waffle area and just regular creamer, so no coffee for me, and juice options but it's not allowed to go to your room. Unfortunately the beds were very hard and uncomfortable and almost none of the outlets worked properly. I would not stay again unless those things are corrected, but otherwise it was great and the staff was friendly.

The bed was hard as a board not sure if it was a box spring or a mattress, the bedding had holes and was of inferior quality to say the least, I was afraid to use the bath tub/shower for fear that I would come out dirtier than before I used it. The tv setup was different having to use 2 remote controls to navigate it. But the staff was very friendly.

I was assigned a room after check in and it was dirty. I took pictures and went back to the desk to address the issue. After being assigned another room, it too was dirty. I asked the staff to come and that there was water on the bathroom floor. He had to get a mop to clean up. I asked to show me a room that was clean but was told that there was one available to accommodate my 3-night stay. I requested a refund and checked out. I won’t stay there again, even though I’d done so several times over the past years.

My stay wasn’t great day one the AC didn’t work so they put me in another room then that room the T.V didn’t work . The next day the water stop working so no shower that day woke up the next morning to running water but no hot water so cold shower to start my day and that was my last day there

Very disappointed with my stay at Americas Best Inn in Bastrop. My room had rust around the sink and bathtub drains, buildup on the shower head, and hair left in the tub. The front desk showed me four other rooms, but every one had the same issues. This wasn’t a one-room problem—it appeared to be a property-wide cleanliness and maintenance issue. Guests deserve better.
