Very nice and spacious rooms. Great location for either Nyali or Mombasa. Only drawback is there's a lot of street noise for the apartments in the road side (but very quiet on the water side).

Great clean well kept hotel with water views, monkeys climbing on the balcony, walking distance to grocery and shopping. The restaurant was great, well staffed and friendly all around. This was my 5th hotel on my trip to Kenya and the best overall. It was right on the bridge so transportation was easy as walking outside. I extended my stay.

The hotel is located between Old Town and Nyali which is quite convenient. The room furnishings and ambience is lovely. The only complaint would be the noisy loud bar music coming from the pool bar until late hours and the pillows that are not very comfortable.

This hotel was much nicer than i had expected from reading the reviews and seeing the pictures. It was actually a lovely hotel and large rooms. The only thing that was uncomfortable was the the duvet which was super heavy and hot and there was no tpp sheet.

After leaving another property because it didn’t meet my standards, my boyfriend recommended this hotel. When we pulled up, I already knew we were in for a treat! The front desk personnel was so pleasant and treated us like royalty. The room was GORGEOUS and overlooking the creek which made for a wonderful view. The pool was refreshing, the drinks were refreshing and the food was exceptional! Thank you for making Mombasa memorable for us! I will definitely stay here again when I’m on this side of the world. 10/10!!!

An amazing hotel in the middle of Mombasa. Ideal location with very easy transfers. Excellent communication and support before and during the trip, helping us book train tickets and meeting our safari guide. Hotel room, facilities and outdoor area were perfect. Very quiet and clean. Every member of staff was incredibly helpful and made our stay very special. The food was amazing and so much choice. They even made us take away breakfasts for our very early 5am starts. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

My Experience at CityBlue

The place is fabulous, and the service was great. Nice terrace. But one issue they have to work on is finding a way to contain or keep the flies away. Flies can easily distribute bacteria after landing on human or animal stool, dead bodies, and rotten things around us. So keeping flies away is very crucial.

Poor service and old hotel

I have about 50 nights at hotel every year. I live in Norway and I have stayed in Kenya for many years. Without doubt I will not stay at this hotel anymore. Poor service (thought it wasn't possible in Kenya) all inclusive had more restrictions than included, and several times it took so long time to get anything so we just left. Very few guests at the hotel, while others was full. So that says enough. They had gym, two pools and beach access, but everything old and outdated.
