I booked this hotel, which indicated it allowed for pets. I travel with my ESD and carry documentation, but was turned away at the check in desk because “Best Western does not allow animals at all.” I have stayed at this exact location previously with no issue. Of course the stay was non refundable and I was told to go down the street to another hotel (also owned by Best Western) so that my emotional support dog could accompany me.

Overall a very nice place to stay. The woman who greeted us on check-in seemed annoyed (but not at us) and a couple of things were a bit worn out (the hallway carpet was very worn and the faucet for the bathtub was stiff and hard to turn on and off) but we enjoyed our stay.

It is clean, comfortable, quiet, and is easy to access. We have been coming here for years on our way back from camping in the Turtle Mountains. We also love the fact that it is in walking distance to our favorite Japanese restaurant in Tehachapi.
