Solid accommodations for the price. Beds are a bit firm and breakfast is disappointing but really for what they charge, hard to ask for much more. I would stay here again
A very nice place to stay if you need to go to Mio
The hotel is awesome and just a few hundred feet from the river. We visited in late December 2024 so we didn't get a chance to actually go down to the river, but there are other places to get to the river then from the hotel.
Service was friendly, only had a continental breakfast.

We have stayed here many times in the past. This was our first stay since the new owner took over. For the most part the new owner has kept everything the same. However the breakfast that is included is very limited, and a quarter of what was originally offered so do not rely on it. They also do not restock it as it runs out, you have to ask for things. The rooms are not cleaned daily, so you have to ask for new towels or anything you may have used to be replenished. They were in the process of some of the mattresses as there was a pile of old mattresses by the dumpster however the mattresses in our room were still older. The rooms could also use newer or better pillows.
Our room was clean and smelled fresh, as well as the hallway and grounds were cleaned too. There were some people that were part of our group that had issues with their rooms and some were handled and corrected right away others was not acceptable on how they handled it.
Overall and compared to other places to stay in the area this is still the best option and we did not have a bad experience. It was just missing the friendly, welcoming owners and their touches that we we're use to when staying here.
Arrived at the hotel and was assigned a room. No problems there. Then went up to the room to find the room hadn’t been cleaned. The bed was not made with sheets from prior visitor.
Bathroom was not clean either. Went back to the check-in desk and informed the staff.
They assigned another room. I then went fly fishing and then returned to the hotel. Upon arrival late at night I discovered someone was in my room! A lady and her two grand daughters with my belongings still in the room.
We contacted staff and had to wait several minutes before staff arrived back at the desk.
Finally received a room reassignment. Fortunately none of my belongings were missing.
The staff apologized and indicated a partial refund will be provided.
Needless to say, a very poor experience!
Our experience was really great (clean/tidy room, check in staff was friendly and helpful) until the end of our stay. The housekeeper on the day of check out was upset with his co workers (something he stated himself) and was very rude and uptight about our check out time which was already handled by the check in/counter staff.
They should remove the continental breakfast that they claim they have oatmeal a bagel and a pastry is not a continental breakfast it's junk and they should think you're up here in the woods where else you going to go eat just stupid
lack of towels in the pool area or even atleast putting up a sign that said to bring towels from your room and also the smallest towels were in the room

Disliked: Staff & service
Pretty run down & dated property. Staff (one person) seemed irritated to be there. There was supposed to be continental Bfast but we didn’t see anything or anyone so we just left. Parking lot was empty (other than one car) so I suspect we were the only ones there.
