Room was very nice and loved the balcony off are room and the whirlpool was very relaxing . The fireplace was also nice but at times got very warm inside are room so had to open a window to cool it down and TV very small and was hard to hear it from watching from are bed .
This was a excellent experience for us. The room was just as they showed it on the web site. The house was gorgeous and very clean. The breakfast was at the Lowell Inn and a wonderful way to end our experience there
Charming house. Comfortably furnished. Extra touches like snacks and beverages a big plus! Breakfast was provided off-site at the Lowell Inn - fantastic!
The property was wonderful once we found it. We do not use GPS so better directions would be appreciated.

We enjoyed staying at the bed and breakfast but the floors squeak a lot and soda the doors which makes it very hard to stay asleep and the cleaning service start cleaning before 11 which is when the departure time is so people are still sleeping stop being woken up by a vacuum cleaner or a door squeaking or the floor
Surprised to enjoy the very clean small pool on such a hot day. Enjoyed the jacuzzi, the welcome glass of wine, and the privacy of the place. Beautiful gardens. Would recommend some sort of name outside the home so guest could be assured that they have arrived at the right place. We and another couple were all confused as to whether we were in the right place. There is not check-in. Just an email to tell you how to let yourself in. Bed was too soft and the air-conditioning was very cold with no way to lower the temperature.
This was a cute room (Art Deco) but you have to really like your partner, FYI- there's no door to the bathtub or toilet area! The tub has a shower sprayer, but there isn't a standing shower.
The grounds and pool area were really pretty, but we didn't use the pool.
Celebrated a romantic two-night getaway without the kids. Everything was wonderful, relaxing, quiet, and peaceful. The room was beautiful and had several areas to enjoy.
Breakfast included was amazing and just a few minutes drive to downtown. Good DVD selection (action & romantic). Highly recommend to anyone needing a rejuvenating reset!
We enjoyed the room and the fireplace was a nice touch. It would be helpful to have a way to control the air conditioning as sometimes the room was a bit cool for our liking. However, that's when we enjoyed the fireplace most!
The James Mulvey Carriage House Inn is beautiful!! We stayed here for our 5 year wedding anniversary and could not have picked a more peaceful place. Gary was wonderful at accommodating us and very helpful. I wish we would have been able to enjoy the pool but it was a little chilly. The room is very beautiful and cozy. I enjoyed the large bathtub and the view was great! I am hoping to come back every year :)
Wonderful, relaxing 2-day getaway...Highly recommend if you're looking to stay in / near Stillwater, St Croix River Valley, or Twin Cities!

loved the victorian themed rooms and house, was clean and maintained impeccably. The view in backyard faces modern houses which can see pool and backyard easily, if perhaps italian pines or high hedge was planted it could improve the “trip” back in time.
This was our second time staying at the James Mulvey Inn. We again had a wonderful stay in the Carriage House suite. We loved the contactless check-in due to COVID. The accommodations were charming, comfortable, quiet, and clean. The little extras like snacks, a bottle of wine from St. Croix Winery and a Keurig and creamers were appreciated. The Inn is located in a quiet residential neighborhood but still very close to downtown, the Coffee Paw Cafe and Sara’s Tipsy Pies. We also enjoyed our breakfast at the Lowell Inn. We highly recommend the James Mulvey Inn and cannot wait to visit again soon!

Quiet and quant, cozy. We enjoyed the little sitting room, snacks and drinks provided. The breakfast at the Lowell hotel, included in our stay, was really good!
Fun Art Deco theme. Quiet, private, lovely view of grounds, eating area on balcony. Non-contact check in. Supply of snacks, water, juice, wine & coffeemaker.
