We stayed the night to avoid having to get up earlier and driving from where we live. Once we got up and dressed we went right to the hospital where I was having a special procedure done. The gentleman at the check in was pretty nice. The mattress were firm and the pillows really soft, so was when we got up all three of us were pretty stiff.

The staff are wonderful and everything is clean. The property is dated, but well maintained. I stayed as a solo woman and felt safe. Parking is perfect, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. I've noticed hotels in MN are generally quite dated so for a European abroad, they seem less appealing but I sincerely enjoyed my trip and would return. The iron wasn't great and I didn't bring my own, so would on the next visit. You wouldn't use this location for a special occasion, but as a safe space to sleep and a convenient location to visit downtown and the Twin Cities, it is ideal.

Room was clean and staff was always available to help or answer questions. Water was nice and hot. Coffee and juice available in the morning and toaster in the lobby. Room was impressively quiet and heard almost no road noise. The heater in the room worked great and was also very quiet. Bed was comfy. Hotels are always a toss up for me and I was very happy with this one regardless of the price. It's not fancy but they did great on all the things that really mattered.

We reserved two rooms. Instead of them together, one was on the first floor & one on the second floor. A bit inconvenient. We paid $20 for an early check-in in one room. It was clean and good. We got ready for our event in one room, then went to check-in for the other room. When we opened the door to room 121, it smelled strongly of mold. I am allergic and I can smell it quickly. The staff didn’t seem to believe me. After refusing the room, they switched us to the room across the hall. They didn’t really want to do that because they were booked, but they did it when I explained how it would affect my health. The room across the hall was clean & smelled normal. It looked like there had been some attempts to repaint, but it was a weak attempt. The back door of the hotel wasn’t locked when we came back from our event at 12:30 am. The checkout out person in the morning was pleasant. This is a very basic hotel/motel. I had read a lot of reviews and they often said the rooms were clean. That was my primary concern with the limited choices in town for that date. We didn’t want to pay too much since we booked rooms for family as well. There were 6 rooms for our group. My sister’s room had a wonky air conditioner, but otherwise everyone else’s was fine. I would choose to stay elsewhere should I come to Stillwater again. It was a very busy night in town. We saw two wedding parties and three bachelorette parties that night. The town is very entertaining.

Run down hotel with no insulation in the walls so you heard every sound from the rooms on each side and every conversation from people walking down the hall. No elevator. Close to shopping and a variety of eateries. Plenty of parking available.
