Great spot to break up the journey when travelling through the countryside. Very friendly staff, good breakfast to start the day and our room was huge. We only stayed the night and it lived up to its name as we rested and were thankful!

Nice country pub

Nice country pub room was clean and comfortable with ensuite. Staff are great and the pub has a nice relaxed feel with a bar area used by the locals (Friendly) with everything you want from a country pub. Restaurant area separate from the pub with a good varied menu.the food I had was great and good value for money. I will definitely stay here again if I am in the area.

Do not just drive past this little gem!

Friendliness of staff second to none, nothing was too much trouble and we did have a couple of special requests. A great Inn with lots of character

A wonderful family owned Inn which is situated in a beautiful location. My family and I were welcomed by the owners and were made to feel very welcome by them and all their friendly, chatty staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were very accommodating. The Rest and Be Thankful has a lot of history and character and there are lots of photos of the Inn and surrounding area from many years ago. The Inn was kept very clean as was our room and we had a comfortable stay. The food was excellent, always hot and cooked well and was delicious. The bar has a good selection of local ales and cider on draft as well as other tipples. Will definitely book and stay here again in the future. Thank you to Eric, Caz and all the staff for providing us with a comfortable and enjoyable stay!

An Excellent Hotel

Hotel is well run with helpful and friendly staff and management. My room was spacious and I slept well every night. Food was excellent with a large selection to choose from. I strongly recommend this hotel to future visitors.
