It was a beautiful place to stay in. Andrew is a super host. Very helpful. All the staff very friendly. We definitely recommend this place in the heart of Exmoor national park. Very quite and peaceful place.
The personal attention shown by everyone - nothing too much trouble.
That feeling of having 'come home ' and being able to leave all the cares and worries to someone else while you relax in a safe place.
What a great time we had, last minute booking, perfect accommodation, the cottage was perfect. Local area brilliant for walks, central to the whole of Exmoor.
Communications with the hotel were very very good, we were very well taken care of.
Breakfast was very satisfying and set us up for the day, there was even the option of a prepared packed lunch for when you go exploring.
Many thanks to the team, well done all.
We will be back. 😊😊😊
Simonsbath House Hotel was not only in a beautiful spot, close by to many of Exmoor's treasures but the hotel itself was just lovely. With a warm welcome for both guests and their furry friends, the proprietors and staff were great , the food was fantastic and the ambience tasteful yet relaxed. Can't wait to go again...and it's rare I say that!
This is a lovely characterful hotel with old-fashioned service and values. Might not be to everyone's taste but we liked it. Situated in the middle of Exmoor with great views, the room and ensuite were a good size and the bed very comfortable. Didn't try the restaurant but the included breakfast was excellent. The owners will give you any information on local walks etc or find out if they don't know.
We enjoyed our stay. The location is lovely but remote (that is good for me). The staff are friendly and helpful. Good quality breakfasts. Its great for walking and nature watching.
Only niggle is that there is no WiFi in the rooms.
The setting is splendid in the middle of Exmoor. We had a very comfortable one night stay at Simonsbath House Hotel. Breakfast was good but the lamb at dinner was excellent! The staff were very welcoming and friendly.
Nice hotel, a little in need of tidying up here and there, but it didn't detract from an enjoyable night in one of the cottage apartments. Facilities were excellent and an ideal situation for us (couple and dog). Shame that dogs weren't allowed in the dining room but the pub down the hill was perfect for an evening meal.

very nice hotel in excellent location
The owner, Andrew, has been very helpful at giving advice on where to go and visit. Thanks to him, we feel like we've seen the best parts of Exmoor within 2 days. The only problem we had with the hotel is that we didn't have wireless in our room. We needed to go to the reception area to get internet connection. Otherwise, I highly recommend the place!
The location of this hotel is stunning - quiet, peaceful and surrounded by greenery. The room was big and the facilities well stocked. Some of the fixtures in the bathroom were a little old and attached at a jaunty angle, and the toilet "over flushed" and didn't stop trickling for the first night. But, with the bathroom door shut, this didn't impact on the silence. If you're expecting a good mobile phone signal and a strong wifi connection, Siminsbath Hotel isn't for you. If you want a beautiful base, located in stunning countryside, with friendly staff, a relaxed atmosphere and nice food, Simonsbath Hotel is a good choice.
Very nice room and facilities. Staff lovely .friendly and helpful.
Only downside for us no phone signal and WiFi was not consistent in area you can use it but.this made us spend time relaxing rather than checking emails and social media.you soon learn to live without it!
Perfect getaway, great host, great location, great food.
The hosts and their staff were great, really helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely visit again.
Lovely hotel in a beautiful part of Exmoor with great links to all the local sights. Fantastic service, very friendly and an absolute peach of a hotel.
Had a wonderful stay the staff were very helpful as we eat in are room they found us some candles and the breakfast was very good value and the views were great we booked another weekend before we left to take the family
Excellent 2 night break at the Simonsbath House Hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Our room was comfortable and had stunning views from the windows. The room is well appointed and both modern but sensitive to the heritage of the house.
The food was excellent - lots of variety for breakfast, hot food freshly cooked. We ate in the restaurant on the Saturday, the environment was relaxed and the food absolutely delicious - our compliments to the chef.
The location of the hotel was within easy reach to explore local village and all the delights Exmoor national park as to offer
we would highly recommend this hotel
