Lovely people running a lovely hotel serving excellent food. However - and this was self inflicted as all the information is given when booking -we were in one of the two 'small double' rooms and I missed the fact that the room hss a small double bed as well as being a small room! My mistake just be aware. I'd happily stay here again just in a bigger room. Dunster Castle is a short uphill walk away and well worth a visit. The West Somerset Railway is pretty close and also a very good trip.

Although the property was old and in need of some remediation it was a very pleasant stay and Lisa and John were perfect hosts and couldn’t do enough for you. The property was dated but this was in keeping with its surroundings within a listed village. The food was extremely well cooked and presented and couldn’t be faulted. The room we had was clean and spacious with everything you could need. All in all a very nice stay.

The staff were amazing. They had so many details like bringing milk to the room every day. The food was awesome. They made a great breakfast including eggs Benedict and a wonderful supper that gave you 3 different options for meat. The decor is amazing in both the bedroom and the rest of the decor. We felt very cared for. We loved the hotel!!!!

Very good hotel in the centre of Dunster so didn’t need to move the car for the whole weekend. We were able to park our car in the hotel’s car park at back of property. Breakfast was very good - freshly cooked, The owners were very friendly & helpful

The rooms were lovely & clean. John & Lisa were extremely helpful & friendly. Food was extremely good. I would definitely recommend although maybe not so good if you have mobility issues. We had a lovely time & and would definitely return
