We had an incredible stay at the Journeyman. We were celebrating a milestone anniversary and the staff went above and beyond to make it special. The room was spacious and well equipped. There wasn’t a coffee maker in our room. The hotel did provide one then next day after we asked for it 3 times. Next day no new coffee , cups or cream were provided and we had to ask for them 2 times. The hotel should have in room coffee machines and service them without being asked. Roof top bar was wonderful and the bar tenders in the main restaurant were awesome,

The location is fantastic! Overall, it is a nice hotel. A super unique feature is the large number of bicycles available for guests to use, which is fantastic since you are so close to the lakefront and the river. The value of the room is definitely the location. Unfortunately, if you are allergic to animals, this is not the hotel to stay in. We had to cut our anniversary weekend short due to an allergy and asthma flareup. We asked if we could be moved to a floor that had never had animals on it; however, the front desk staff said they could not guarantee that, so our only option was to check out early. In trying to expedite our check out, my husband left a very nice pair of dress slacks in the closet. We called and were told to fill out a form for housekeeping to check for the pants. Apparently, no one found them, so he is down a pair of very nice pants. We had a great start, but a frustrating and disappointing ending.

One of my 2 favorite hotels in Milwaukee. (The self appointed premier hotel does not offer daily housekeeping. Kimpton does). Staff are all friendly & helpful. Nightly social hour with wine & beer. Peter & Zeke are awesome bartenders. Free coffee station in the lobby each morning-so civilized & rare - so much better than crappy in room coffee machines. Room is clean & new feeling. Fantastic location- many bars & restaurants within a few blocks. Highly recommend!
