The hotel is very convenient to downtown area like attractions from theaters, arenas, and sports stadiums, plus close to interstates and easy to get to and out of the city. The room was very clean on arrival with plenty of towels, coffee cups, etc. Nice area to find good restaurants and the hotel has a nice bar/restaurant on the lower level.

**** Highly suggest doing a Google search on this hotel (not Travel Advisor) before booking. Positives: This is a gorgeous building (inside) with a beautiful renovation Dinner at the restaurant was delicious Staff was all friendly and helpful Our double queen room was very large and nice Clean, well-kept, no complaints Close to MU Negatives: This hotel (especially lobby area) does not give off a "warm and welcoming" feel. They could improve this a lot with better lightning in the lobby and their front desk situation. While the staff were very nice, there is only one of them, and that person sits in a different room off of the front counter. They must have a mirror or something that alerts when a guest is at the counter, but 95% of the time, the front desk looks unattended which gives a deserted feeling in the lobby.

Hotel was beautiful, original, and historic. The room was a great size and had a cozy bed. The fridge had food in it from a former guest, so i reminded the front desk at check out that housekeeping needs to be more thorough. The rest of the space and hotel was quite clean.

Absolutely fantastic staff. Beds are comfortable. Elevator tricked me every time but it is really cool. No microwaves in rooms which was a bummer. You also have to pay for parking which is odd for a hotel. Overall though, fantastic hotel.
