The property was perfectly situated on the north side of Pollonia for sunsets. Flora was the best hostess and gave us lots of tips for things to do, places to go and restaurants. We couldn't have loved everything more!

Perfect stay

The reason of our special stay is Chris, manager of the property. Knowledge and personable, Christ made our stay in Milos perfect. Our rooms are clean and comfortable with a view of the ocean. Good convenient location.

Couldn’t be happier

Staff super easy to work with and friendly, as well as having very good knowledge of the island. The hotel its self was wonderful, cute and clean with an amazing view. The location was gorgeous and the village a perfect mix of relaxed with plenty to do.

I liked the free breakfast buffet and the friendly and helpful staff. I also liked being close to the water and in a safe neighborhood. I disliked the high price and inconvenience of getting around the island without a rental car.

Our view here was 5 star! Our room & balcony was very clean…the maid worked extremely hard to keep all the volcanic dust off of the tile floors in the hallways and rooms. The location was good for walking around Pollonia. However we had cold showers for 3 out of the 5 nights stay. We notified the front office the first time. Apparently they have to flip a heater breaker for the water heater when the solar hot water runs out. The second time they had a new person and she didn’t know what to do but called on her cell for help. I waited an hour, but the water never got warm so I took another cold shower. I notified the regular reception person the next day and told her our flight would be early the next morning. She explained their solar water heater problem again and I was hoping she would make sure we had hot water. However she doesn’t arrive till later so we had cold showers the morning we were leaving again. Honestly this is such a simple fix…an automated switch can be put in so that a human doesn’t have to be present to get hot water to its hotel guests. I really liked this spot but other reviews mentioned the hot water problem. I wish we could have found another hotel with the wonderful water view.

Overpriced for what it is

Positive: Vicky at reception was lovely and very helpful. The room (No.3) was a good size, was very clean, and had quiet aircon. A gratis 500ml bottle of white wine was appreciated, as was the water and coffee pods which were replenished every day. Negative: Room 3 ground floor balcony is adjacent to the main entrance to reception so affords no privacy. You have to keep the curtains closed all the time otherwise anyone passing can see in. Domus Litus (Beach House in Latin) is located on the north side of the Pollonia peninsula, and is exposed to the virtually constant wind of the Meltemi. I dont think the cost of this room at around €180 per night warrants its location within the complex, the exterior facilities, nor the description 'luxury'.

Property had everything we needed and did provide beach towels which was helpful. Location is peaceful. It is an easy 5 minute walk to the center of Pollonia. Everything in Milos is essentially 20 minutes away by car. Definitely rent a car. If you accept the property's offer to help you with a car, (they say they can get you a 10% discount) you must be comfortable with property providing no contact information for agency and Flora becoming flustered and irritated if you need to make a change and the car rental office is closed during its posted hours. She will assist you but her irritation is palpable. The gentleman, however, from the car agency itself is very accommodating and kind. Other staff at Domus Litus are very kind and quick to respond.

We loved our stay here!! The room was lovely, bright, and clean. Each room has a terrace or balcony. Even though we didn’t have an ocean view from our balcony, we still had an ocean view from our window, which was a nice bonus. The hotel provided a lot of useful information, including a discounted rate for a full day boat trip with Aria Calma, which was absolutely amazing!! It is very quick and easy to walk to the main area of Pollonia. We had a car, which made exploring the rest of the island easy. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. I would absolutely recommend it!

Friendly Staff, Subpar Accommodations

The photos make this place look a lot more luxurious than it actually is. While everyone was very friendly and helpful, the establishment itself was underwhelming based on the photos we saw prior to our stay. Make sure to temper your expectations.
