The room was not cleaned properly, the fridge in the room was dirty with stuck on food in some spots, the bedding was dirty, overall it was a bad hotel experience and I won’t be going back

When we arrived they put us in a section of rooms separate from the main building. Checked it out and it was missing a shower curtain, toilet paper, and Kleenex. The room was very dark and smelled awful. We went to the front desk to ask for missing items and desk person was very sweet. She got the housekeeping (older couple) and they were all upset with each other speaking in their foreign,Indian language. Then we asked to move into a room that didn’t stink so bad. She was kind and moved us to a nicer room in main building. Room was nice but we had to get a plunger for the toilet and the bathtub drain was very slow and we stood in standing water while showering! I absolutely hate that! Yuck! My feet were in someone else’s yuck and how could it be cleaned well!? Housekeeping should have fixed it before it was rented to us. It didn’t just happen! We reported to them when we checked out so they can get it fixed.

The inn was easy to access off the road; but we were put in a separate building area away from the main lobby. It was inconvenient to get ice for our use in the room and then had to either drive or walk across a very busy highway to access breakfast.

We got one of the rooms across the street from the main motel. While the room was ok over all it was easy to tell that they are set more to a party group. We pulled out the couch bed and found a bunch of mini marshmallows, a hat, and multiple beer bottle caps. The regular beds were good and clean with new clean sheets and blankets. The bathroom was clean and everything worked well.

Great option for families traveling to or through the Okoboji area. Our room was a 4 Queen bed suite. There were 2 Queen beds when you enter the room. The other 2 beds were in an upstairs area. The upstairs had their own air/heater, tv, closet and table with the beds. Breakfast was included and the nieces and nephews loved the pool and hot tub. They even wanted to swim there in the evening even after swimming in the lake for many hrs earlier in the day.

Staff was nice. Room had 3 burned out lights, dead bolt did not work on the door. The room smelled of smoke so much that we had to wash the clean clothes that were in our suitcase when we returned home.

Room smelled like smoke.

The room smelled like stale smoke. At times it was worse, I think people smoked outside by air conditioner. Place needs updated and a handyman to fix walls, trim and parking lot.

Dirty and Gross...will not stay again

The key cards didn't work properly. The room was gross...there was a stain on the mattress all the way to the floor that could have been puke or coffee...unsure. The ironing board was stained and lumpy. The iron itself was dirty inside and out. I almost stained the shirt I was ironing. The parking was horribly small. The floor in the building we were staying was on a slant. When we went up to get the continental breakfast the lady behind the desk was watching us the whole time...it was unconfortable. I should have taken pictures but I was just so mad at myself for booking there so I didn't want to. Will definitely NOT be staying there again.
