Staff was friendly enough and breakfast was fine. However, A/C did not work in room and we couldn't get anyone to fix it. We spent two nights in two different rooms. The first was fine although the weather was cooler that night. A week later, it was a different story.

Good budget hotel

Adequate hotel, good for economy near to the Duomo and train stations. Walking distance to Navigli river area. Must go for dinners! Great breakfast at hotel, friendly staff Small rooms but fine for short stopovers

Safe, convenient and vibrant location with easy access to subway and numerous dining options. I consider this a budget option as the hotel could use some updates (mainly to the bathroom), but it was clean and the elevator, AC and wifi all worked great.

Nice hotel in very good location.

I was on a trip with friends and needed only a basic room, bed, shower etc. the Minerva was exactly what was required. Staff were friendly, room was serviced well every day and was very clean. It is also very handy for transport with a metro station being only yards from the hotel. Fabulous restaurants by the canal are only a 10 minute walk away. Luckily, I’m a heavy sleeper because the tram passes outside and is very noisy - the reason for a star being lost.

First let me say the room was clean. A/C, shower, bed was all ok. My problem was the noise from the street outside my window. Fri, Sat and Sun was a huge party nearby the hotel. The noise was all night to about 5 am. I got very little sleep. I complain to the front desk. They said I can be moved to another room for additional 100 euro. I declined. They wanted to charge me. they said they can't control the noise. So early Monday morning 5am I get awoken by the street cars and the street sweepers/ trash pick up. It was crazy. The party people stopped just to get replaced by a different noise. I complained but the staff could care less. They said no one else complained. I asked for a discount upon my departure and they said no. All single rooms face the street which is what I had. Do not recommend this hotel unless your a very heavy sleeper or get room on other side, not facing the street. The staff know its noisy. It didn't become noisy a couple of weeks ago.

Excellent for an overnight stop

A decent hotel with excellent connections to Metro. Staff helpful and attentive. Hotel is dated and is very much 70s chic, but comfortable beds and good for an overnight stay (I'm unsure if suitable for a romantic week away). Breakfast good.
