We had mixed feelings about our stay at 21 House of Stories Navigli. The staff were friendly, the air conditioning was excellent during very hot weather, and the breakfast offered some nice touches such as freshly cut bread and a good selection of cakes. The lobby and communal areas are also stylish and welcoming.
Unfortunately, the noise levels were a major issue. Despite being used to city noise as we live in central London, we found it extremely loud at night due to the location and poor sound insulation. The rooms also felt less premium than the marketing suggests, and several details, such as paper cups, a very limited free minibar and missing amenities, made the experience feel more three-star than four-star. We were also disappointed by the terrace restaurant, which was very expensive, offered poor service and served some of the weakest food we had during our trip. Overall, the hotel looks great on the surface, but we wouldn’t choose to stay here again or recommend it.
