The beds, bathroom, and floor were clean. We picked this place for the kitchen and full size fridge. The dishes were all dirty with caked on food. There was no dish soap or sponge so I used the bar soap and it took awhile to clean the hard dried egg yolk from the silverware. We have dairy and egg allergies. So it was disappointing to have dirty dishes with eggs. That means the shelves and drawers were dirty too with old food crumbs. The toilet also would flush once and then took a really long time to fill up. So we used the ice bucket with tub water to refill the toilet tank.

It was a long cross country trip, I was exhausted and got here in the middle of the night. It was such a relief at the end to reach a hotel where the employeeat the counter was efficient and courteous, its clean, the toom is comfortable and quit.

The young lady at check in was great. The room was nice. But because I had to put a 100.00 deposit just because I used a third party to book the room, will keep me from ever staying at MainStay again. It would have been nice to know that a head of time. Now I have to wait a week to get my money back on my card.

Nice and clean room, very spacious and quiet. I gave 4 stars only because at this moment there isn’t really anything walking distance but to a few gas stations with usual things. But something is in the making right next door to this hotel that looks very promising in the future. If you’re looking for a pool this place doesn’t have one but I never really use the pool at what ever place I stay anyways so this didn’t bother me. Probably why it’s quiet here too.

Hotel needs a refresh

The hotel was beat up; carpets were dirty, floor needed to be swept and none of the anti bacterial soaps were full. The room was fine, loved the kitchenette but walls needed repainting and caulking. Who picked the bathroom tile, thought someone smeared brown dirt all over the shower before i realized. Curtains, both shower and window, were shredded and filthy. Room size was spacious and TV had great channels. The male attendant was kind and friendly. The female attendant was not friendly but on her way out for the day. She left us standing in the lobby for 10 minutes while the male attendant was assisting another guest. Think the hotel was mostly beat up by is guests and the staff was just done trying. The hotel has a lot of potential if it was in the right hands.

Front staff checking in and checking out. We’re both very helpful. Front entrance smelt clean walking in, and front desk gal welcoming. Property needs some overall updating for example shredded sheer curtains. Stains on chairs in dining area. Worn couch and chair In bedroom. Our mattresses were very comfortable. Three pillows per bed. Bathroom clean. No bad smells. Price very reasonable. Fruit was too old to be served. Cold breakfast plus waffle option. Coffee, no fruit juice.

Ok

The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious. However, the TV remote was dead and required 2 visits from staff to get it working and synced to the TV. The microwave did not heat. The sink took several minutes to drain fully after washing hands/face. I had to clean any dishes I used (a couple glasses and some silverware) because they were greasy and obviously not clean. We were in a room (301) right by the stairs and the stairway door closing could be heard loudly in our room, but that's probably more an issue of it being a room booked by a third party (placement is not ideal when not booking directly). The best part of the room was the comfortable bed.
