“Our one-night stay was underwhelming from start to finish. Check-in took longer than expected due to the busy pub. Room 4 was tastefully decorated and had a lovely sea view, with Whitby Abbey visible in the distance, but it was a double bed. We paid an additional fee for our two dogs, but nothing was provided for them—no bowls, treats or beds. We always bring our own, but for an extra charge, we expected some kind of gesture. “Everything was excellent but be mindful if you stay in Cherry on the ground floor of the adjoining property as we had someone stomping about in the room above us for about an hour as we were trying to get to sleep approx 10pm not sure what they were doing, trying to get their steps in I think but you could hear every movement and also the television, shame as everything was great I don’t think I will ever book a ground floor room with accommodation about again”
