“Communication was great, but the room was not clean. The sheets had black hairs everywhere. As soon as I looked under the bottom sheet, it was worse. The dust was awful too. And it got really hot during the night. Unfortunately, you have to share the temp with other guests staying. So keep that in mind. There was no refund offered. Just a new room in a totally different building, and my circumstances it wasn’t an option. If it was actually cleaned and had clean sheets it wouldn’t be a bad place...

“The hummingbird cottage was in the perfect location and was great for a weekend stay. Had a little trouble with air conditioning last night there was getting warmer as night went on and we had not touched the thermostat i fiddled around with the nest thermostat for about 20 mins, it finally came back on. Wished it had a small table and chairs to sit at but i see its a space issue. Overall a nice older cottage . Close to downtown saugatuck and great having parking and being able to walk around...

“Great location if you are wanting to travel around Northern Michigan. Cute town with a convenient grocery store, Mammoth Distillery Lounge and great little pizza place. Check in was easy, but no personal communication from owners. Only automated messages. Unit could have been cleaner. There was sand on the floor and some laundry in the dryer which was strange.
