Parking was valet and $40 a night, which we were not told and assumed it was in the $35 resort fee. Pool closes at 8 pm which kinda sucks. Other than that very local to Ocean Ave, you can walk most places. Beds were comfy and hotel easy to locate/ navigate.

We liked being a few blocks away from the beach, the hotel has a nice rooftop pool, beach towels, and we used the bikes. Friendly staff. Though the 2nd floor terrace wasn’t available, there was a little patio outside that worked well for sitting in the sun having a coffee. Will return!

Room was clean, staff was nice but disappointed that the social club was closed due to remodeling for Grand Prix in May 2026. I was there celebrating and was looking forward to that place as one of my celebratory stops. They did not let us know that at the time of booking.

The housekeeping and staff at the front desk were extremely friendly, and they did a great job in welcoming us to the hotel. The room itself is basic, but very spacious. It would be great if the hotel could provide a kettle, along with additional hangers for our clothes; and perhaps some pictures on the wall.

staff - other than Carlos as a valet, the rest of the team just didn't care. Too many things were missing and when asked (politely and nicely) you were just bothering them. Phone in the room not working, no milk or substitute with coffee available (when restaurant is close and no mention of it), etc. Location is great. Nice hotel for a chill time

It was our second time staying this year at Upsun. It is a nice hotel and the staff are very nice. We enjoyed the pool, the beach chairs at the beach, and the bikes. There are lots of good food options nearby. There is also a free city trolley that runs about two blocks from the hotel so we used that also.
