Disaster.
Posted Aug 4, 2023 on HotelsShort and sweet. The Friday night we arrived at the Guild started with no communication on how to access our unit. A security guard finally saw us in the lobby trying to figure out what to do and got us in. Ended up having no further support because The Guild was going out of business/Bankrupt. We roughed it out because at least our room key worked. Couldn't get any help at all. Our room looked like it had been cleaned before we arrived. No extra blankets no extra towels one key card for 6 days and that's it. We managed to enjoy Miami anyway. Be careful out there.

The property overall is good. The issue was only getting one room key with two traveling adults and two bath towels with three travelers. We arrived shortly after check in, received one key. Had no hand towels or face towels and when asked about the towels was told I had to ask between 9-5

After a long trip with three young kids we checked in using a digital key. Went run to the room and it was a disaster. The window was open and couldn’t close. It was so hot in Miami. There was no shampoo or soap. There was hair in the drain. Then when I tried to contact the front desk I was told that this hotel is no longer in business. I packed up and we had to leave the hotel.

I’ve visited the Guild in the past and was very impressed. However, my recent visit was horrible. The unit was dirty, pant chipping, floors not clean, towels looked used, and balcony glass was filthy. So disappointed

Terrible communication. Waited forever for someone at the front desk. Parking was so confusing. Terrible customer service. No soap in the bathroom. Balcony had old beer cans. Never again. Don’t do it.

Locked out of room

The property was spacious and fit my family quite well. Everything was fine until the next morning. While we were all waiting in the lobby for transportation for our cruise, a security officer demanded that we leave the premises. We are in a lobby full of other guests and she made it a point to single out the only Black guests and said that we had been in the lobby longer than 10 minutes? Mind you, there were plenty of non-Black guests that were in lobby prior to our arrival to the lobby but she only singled us out. In addition, there is nothing posted, stated, nor mentioned that a guest is not allowed to stay in the hotel lobby longer than 10 minutes! So, we all politely left and will NEVER return! And unfortunately, the security guard herself was a Black woman but I am assuming we did not fit the “image” of the facility.

The room was absolutely disgusting with unhygienic stains all over the couch. I complained to the front desk whom seemed completely indifferent and dismissive and wrote to the manager and never received a response.
