Best thing about this property is the location (which is excellent). However, keep in mind that you will be hearing a train passing by, which is across the street, as well as the high local traffic. Rooms are bare bones basic. Clean, yes. AC was noisy, but it did work well. TV worked. Beds were OK.

The Gables Inn serves its purpose well. Close to the U, and with no frills. I've stayed there several times and have always found it clean and equipped as expected. Bed comfort is what took away 1 star. They often creak or squeak, and the mattresses are fairly old. But the AC works, and the refrigerator in the room, and coffee in the lobby are appreciated.

Location was great for what we needed! Parking was awesome, easy and accessible. Comfortable bed! Water pressure from shower was perfect too (sounds silly but it was great!) Very humid in the room. A little out dated but overall okay for the price. Staff was great! Easy check in, answered my questions when I had them.

The room was clean though in need of some updating. Mattress was ok. Paying 10 to park on the property seemed inappropriate. No coffee until 8:00 AM as it appears that there is no one on the property in the night hours. Of course, the price was below just about anything I could find. It was the only place near the medical center I had an early appointment at. Just a couple miles to Coco Palms area with nice restaurants and seaside park etc.
