I had never VRBO an APT/HOTEL before, but I liked the idea of 24 hr. front desk for check in. The property looked good from the pics and we were very interested in the pool, washer/dryer and included parking. Check in was busy and went quick but they never told us that the property was without power. I found that out from another guest. Hey things happen but they couldn't tell us anything about why or timeline and should have told us at time of check-in. 2 hours later (6 PM getting dark/no AC/food in ref) I contacted VRBO and they were excellent in trying to find us another place. The front desk could not terminate our reservation - told me to contact host. 3 hr. later power on - so we stayed. Now AC doesn't work and it needed to be reset. We already knew the front desk was going to direct us to the host, so we figured out how to reset it twice. Next morning went to find the hairdryer - nope - Asked the front desk - again - ask host. Left an email. No reply. Coffee pot also did not work. Look it is pretty cheap to stay there - but it wasn't the money it was the utilities I needed for my stay and that I needed to do laundry and a quick turn-around. I would not rebook because there is zero help or communication and the front desk is only good for check-in and out.
