While our room faced the building next to us, the atmosphere and character of the hotel was top notch. Food is serve in small portions, but good and decent price, drinks are expensive, but not as expensive as other places close by. The hotel is in an excellent location, close to beach, very friendly/safe environment, and all the employees are very accommodating and polite. There was some miscommunication with the breakfast, because in our end said breakfast included, but the folks in the hotel said that breakfast was not included in our stay; we didn't argue, but other than that, it is an excellent location and easy to check in and out.

This is a beautifully kept art deco building. Check in was adequate in the evening. Philip was the front desk staff person the next day, and he made this place feel special. He took extra steps that made us feel well cared for, like getting the elevator. His kindness and authenticity made us feel like we were in a different era, in line with our surroundings. We enjoyed our stay. The location was wonderful. The room size is small, but as expected from the time period of the building.
